Same [***]. They had my name and statement information correct. They said I was passed due by 7 days. My billing cycle still has 2 weeks to run through. I think the number is only trying to get payment via phone.

I received two calls from this number, one at 5:00 today morning and the other at 2:20 p.m. They had my name right and it was an automated message saying that my balance is more than 30 days overdue and that they were going to appy late charges. Then I was offered the pay by phone option. I know for a fact that I do not have any Chase credit cards and did not fall for it.

I keep getting calls from this number as well.  However, I know the person they are asking for, but it's not me.  This is my work cell, and they're asking for the person who used to have my phone number.

I been receiving calls on this number to 402-220-4355??? all day until 7 pm this might be a hacker that stole your identity from your computer excel or words. Be carefull not to provide your info, call them direct instead! and report to them. I'm up to date all my payments with chase, so there's no reason for me to call me back. I suggest change all your password right now!

This number is calling my husband's phone.  We don't answer it because I looked it up on line and saw that it was a phishing call. Now, how not to be annoyed by them.  Give the number a contact name in your phonebook (like "Harrassing Caller) then assign a silent ringtone to them.  If you don't have a silent ring, you can record a "s-h-h-h-h-h-h" sound as a voice memo and use it for a ringtone.  That way you don't hear them call and are not annoyed while driving, etc.

Anyone who calls and doesn't leave a message obviously doesn't need to speak to me that badly, legit or not, especially if they call at 0-dark-30.

I received a call from this number earlier today at about noon, if this was a scam it must have been shut down because I called chase and they verified that it was a number from their collections department. It might just be me, but if they need my full account number before they talk to me they are crazy because they can look you up by the last 4 of your card and your zip code if they are actually part of chase.

Calling 12-year-old son's cell phone a number that's not tied to any account anywhere. That means they've gotten the number from either Virgin Mobile USA's database or the Federal Do Not Call database. I'm guessing the former.

    Unemployed
Chase acquired my credit card account from Providian.  When I applied for this credit card account, it was WAMU (Washington Mutual).

Received a call this morning and one this evening - they didn't leave message - I have not paid Chase Credit card on time because I've been unemployed for several months, so when I found this website the info here seems very accurate.  I called customer service and learned how to settle the debt for a lot less (7 cents on the dollar) while I am unemployed.  Apparently that's the fee a credit card company will pay to a collection agency and if the debtor declares bankruptcy, the credit card company usually ends up with nothing anyway.  They also have a hardship plan once you gain employment with reduced payment amounts.  Actually, they recently closed my account, even when I was paying on time, because of reduced activity.  They were actually extremely helpful.  I guess my situation isn't unique in today's economy.  The local paper said the layoffs this month they are seeing at the unemployment office are professionals making an average of $75,000 annually.

You can stop the calls by putting a call block on your cell phone - I know Verizon has one. I have a Chase card and quit paying it because they upped my percentage from 12% to 29% and when I asked them why they said my credit score. Everything is under my hubby's name and his score is above 750 so it is just highway robberty. So when I quit paying on time with my business card, they lowered my rate from 29% (which they jacked up after my 0% intro rate) to 3.9%. You just have to play the game. When they are desperate, they will lower your rate.

receiving many calls from this number and they never leave a message. that was the first clue that this was not a legitimate sales/info call. thanks for sharing all the information, everyone! why isn't Chase doing anything about this?! how is it that we ended up being on their target list? did Chase have a customer phone database leak to a third party???
