I ordered their steaks one time to see what all the hype was about. The steaks are supermarket quality. Nothing special, just overpriced. They called me I told them this and asked them not to call me again. I wrote them and asked me to put them on my do not call report. THEY HARASS ME AT LEAST 3 TIMES PER DAY WITH PHONE CALLS. I need to figure out if I can report them for harassment.

I have received the calls from Omaha Steaks for a couple days now...I simply called them back and asked them to take my number off of their call list...they were very nice about it..no big deal...now if I continue to get the calls, then it will be a big deal.

I just got call. I logged on to the Omaha Steaks website through "My Account" and changed my "Contact Preferences." Put down a fake phone number and checked the box that said never call me.

I ordered from them online a few months ago. They've been calling every two weeks or so trying to get me to buy more, though I keep telling them no. I just talked to them a few days ago and told them no again, and they still called me yesterday and left no message. I don't mind buying from them. There are a few things I can't get in the supermarket that would make Omaha Steaks worth it, but not if I'm going to be harrassed.

I am on the Do Not Call List. They are violating the law.

This is not a very good marketing avenue for Omaha Steaks. I've been bothered one too many time. And, I'll never buy from them again. Omaha , good luck staying alive with these business practices!

Thanks for the info. I called Omaha Steaks Customer Service today at 1-800-228-9872 and informed them I was receiving a number of calls a day from their sales office and would like them to stop. The woman was very polite and removed my number from their calling list. She said the calls should stop immediately.  We'll see.

As for Omaha Steaks, if you tell them not to call you, they will be gracious and stop.  Also, if you have an online account, you can select for this option.

I'm not an advocate for them!  I just like their product and told them as much.  And also said i would buy regardless of being contacted.... and I don't like to be contacted!

If you are on the do not call list, but order from a company, and don't state that you don't want to be called, you will be called.  It's not a violation of the do not call list.  Just a matter of marketing.  I thought this too at first...

thanks for the info here. these calls have come steadily for weeks at my work number, and I never answer. it's been years since i ordered from them and agree this practice turns off any potential customers. I work in marketing and this type of product is not an impulse item to buy from a phone call.

I have been getting the same DAILY calls for weeks...finally called THEM and asked to be removed from database.  They were polite and action requested hopefully completed.

I have recd 4 calls, at 9:14 AM, 12:20PM, 5.39 PM, & 8:58 PM, all TODAY!!  I have have not picked up on them. They just lost a customer that has bought several hundred $$ of products online from them!!  NEVER AGAIN!! I thought they were a great source for fine beef, but this leads me to believe they are like most other folks, in  that once they get your phone #, they are real JERKS!!!

I do not appreciate getting calls from "tele- pushers", folks that keep calling until you finally pick up on the call, then HANG UP, before you say "Hello"!!!  SO irritating!! What giod is calling if they don't have the dencency to identify themselves on Caller ID, or by leaving a message?? I will NEVER order another ounce of meat from these overpriced folks!!  I have followed the lead of a previous writer, & went to the website to give them a former business # I had, that is no longer in service  I retired two years ago, & used that #.

Go back into your account that you set up with Omahsa Steaks, and change your preferences...

Omaha steaks...i get at least three emails a day from them too!!!

i just got a call at work from this number and they didnt bother to leave a message.  I called the number back and it was indeed Omaha Steaks.  I informed them that I was on the Do Not Call Registry and they took my name off their computer generated call list.  They did inform me that the calls do not fall under the Registry and that you need to call and specifically asked to be taken off of further sales calls.  Hope that this helps.

I am one of the people that call you and we don't do it to harass you. It only harasses if you allow it to. We call you cause the specials we offer over the phone aren't available anywhere else, and were really just trying to help you. It's as simple as answering the phone and telling me to stop calling you to make it stop. Your over reacting and feel good for doing it.

You got 4 calls for never answering the phone. You actually deserve it for being rude and ignoring them. All you needed to do was answer it once and it wouldn't call for like a month at least
