"Paul" called me yesterday with the same story. He said he could get me more money than I was asking for my truck. I was excited, and now I'm glsd i did some research. Oh well. I still need to sell my truck.

No idea what # the call came from, but the index media autos scam line...same thing as everyone else, I asked to pay with paypal instead for user protection and got the email address dantakhar@gmail.com.  # was 204 415 5864.  I called and he actually did answer, but answered "Hello" not a company name, etc .  I told him I was going to decline due to it being a scam and he did not object at all.

Good to check this before saying, "Sure."  My call came from this number 1-204-415-5691.  The gentlement claimed to be from Index Media Autos.  For only $300 they would guarantee my car sale within two weekends-how they can guarantee anything is an amazing claim unless they are willing to buy it.  So be prepared and be forewarned that they will be calling once your ad makes it onto the Auto Trader website.  

Do not under any circumstance give them any more info and for gods sake do not sent them any money.

Some prick from Winnipeg called me a few minutes ago (researched the number before calling), throught the powers of the internet I found out where he lives. Time to break some F#$*'n bones. Piece of Sh#t.

I rec'd a call from Jerry this time and his story sounded like their was something up. Itold him I wanted to check the company out before going any further in our conversation so I googled the company name and look what I found lol, all your wonderful comments (Thanks by the way) as all I had to do was check one site and I knew I was on the right track of being scammed.

Ok, so Kevin states in his email (Apr 6) that they have been in business for over 5 years and then the president and owner state in a email 1 month later (May 6) that they have been in business since March 2008??? Are you guys for real, maybe you should pass by eachother what your posting online so you don't look like complete idiots! They may be intelligent in scamming but their common sense is not so SHARP!
As for the BBB, search them on their website, they are NOT registered with them as doing good business, in fact they aren't registered with them at all!
Use your own common sense and do your research before handing someone your credit card number or other form of payment.

i would think that the visa company should be held responsible for this because they are the people responsible for issuing visa access to criminals which makes them a partner in crime.

Eugene Begoin, a representative of Index Media Autos, he did see my truck for sale on autotraders. He asked specific questions about the car. He was willing to sell my truck for me for a 300 dollars flat finder fee. He specifically asked for my Mastercard number to put an authorization on it. I asked for some personal information in return, while having the card in my hand. I did receive the web address, which is http://indexmediaautos.com ; when googling the company it became clear that the caller was a scammer. 18004951287 and 2044155761. He promised to email me the details as soon as I confirm the deal.

I got the call from Eugene (auto index media) and i had been told that i am gonna be charged $300 to get my car sold,and if the can not sell it with in 90 days i will get my full refund.After 90 days when i called them for the refund because they could not seel my car, i have been informed that there is gonna ba an administrative charge of $60 applied on my refund so i am gonna get $260 back but after a month waiting time i got only $158 back.It is a big scam please do not trust them and if some one knows how to get this money  back (legaly ) from these scammers ,please let me know

I did business with  these guys, and they sold my vehicle in 8 days to be exact.  I did sign up with them, and honestly thought I was going to get scammed, but that was not the case.  I beleive these guys are legit.  They go above and beyond, since they not only post on their own website, but on Kijiji and CraigsList and BuyandSell and a bunch of other websites and they top up ads weekly for you.

Good job guys, there will always be the people that havent sold their vehicle due to price issues that will be angry, but if you give these guys a chance and price it right, then no problem at all.

OMG I just got a call from "Eugene"! I asked why would someone from Winnipeg be interested in my car as I life in Toronto?? He started his 'game' saying he could find me a buyer for $300.00 and asked me for my email address. I didn't give it to him. Well I didn't get scammed for $300.00 but I was an idot and called the long distance # (didn't know where area code 204 was) so I guess I got caught for a quarter.

I got a call from guy name "Paul" from netfindautos.com and he was promising me a sell for my truck but asking for $299 credit card authorization first..... i was trying to find the genuineness of this company but found this page... I am very much sure that this is a scam.
