They are going after me for a house that I signed over to my ex wife in 1997. the deed was put in her name as well as financing, yet these idiots think I owe them!

Got another call.  Caller ID said Portfolio Recovery.  No message was left.  I never answer calls from names and numbers I don't know.

PRA  called,  seems  like  they  have  millions  of  phone  numbers  to  call  from  but  99.9%  of  the  time,  they  are  

calling  for  the  *wrong*  person/persons .....Beware!  a  call  from  404-719-4368  is  a  debt  collection  scam ~ they  

are  *phishing*  for  info  --AND--  using  *scare  tactics*  to  get  money  from  you ~ give - them - nothing.

Portfolio Recovery again. Scum Suckers have phone numbers from all over the US. If you don't recognize the number, don't answer and don't call back.

Said we had an old debt they were trying to collect.  I asked them to NEVER call my number again. said they were based in Norfolk Virginia.

They will never stop calling you and may be ruining your credit with no right to do do. You should contact a consumer debt lawyer for a free consultation. Portfolio Recovery routinely violates Federal consumer debt laws and if there is a case you could sue them (at no cost to you) and win thousands in Federal court. Calling frequently on your cell phone without your permission could be considered a violation. Keep track of the time and dates they call and take the information with you to the lawyer. Even if someone still owes the money they don't have the right to break the laws.

They not only call me at work, on my cell but also call everyone in my family.

they've been harassing and threatening me for years in search of someone with the same name as me. it seems the only way to stop them is to kill them.

As to your list of Numbers above - I think I got all of those numbers listed now on my no call list.. But there is always a new number that they come up with. My question is: How do we stop them from calling? I get like one a day no matter what I block. The joke of it all is: They never say a word. Or it rings and rings and they never have yet left a message. Also I don't owe anyone or have any reason for these calls.. So what do we do now??
