Someone called pretending to be from the IRS and asked for my Social Security number to “verify” the call. Don’t fall for it - it’s a scam. Just hang up and don’t give out any info. I never share personal details over the phone with anyone, regardless of the circumstances. This phone number has already been reported to both federal and state authorities, and it’s also listed on several websites where people report scam calls to warn others. The number I entered here is accurate and has no typos. I double-checked it before submitting this comment. Stay alert and avoid engaging with these types of calls.

Hmmm, again, interesting.  Call back to the number got me an "agent" who was interested in selling life insurance.  However, the community should be aware that you post this same misinformation regardless of the caller's identity.
