I have a whistle next to my phone to blow your ear drums off.

Just got a call from this number, he asked for my stepfather by his first name. I asked the guy his name and he said "Joe Cassio" and that he'd call back later.

Receive calls from this number fairly regularly. I never answer anonymous calls, and no message is ever left. Today I called back; it doesn't ring!

And you will be ignored, and reported to the charity you represent.

Pretty sure this is one of the Sheriff "Support Organizations" that have sprung up all over the country.  Most are essentially a scam - the bulk of the money collected ends up going to outbound call center provider that is doing the calling (in this case, suspecting that it is a work-from-home rep).  

The last report that I saw on these organizations indicated that only 5 cents on every dollar actually ends up going to the purpose they push.  The draw with these for a lot of unaware folks is that they typically send you a sticker to put on your car or in your car window.  There are large numbers of folks that believe that this will prevent an officer from stopping you or issuing a citation for traffic violations -- don't count on it!

And, yes, my understanding is that some segments of the non-profit population are exempt from the "do not call" list.  There are other holes, but this is a large one that will typically disturb you in the evening in the normal "after dinner" hours....

It is illegal in the state of Florida to record a person with out there knowledge. Consent is not necessary, but you must inform them. It is also illegal for anyone to listen to said recording. I hope you never plan on using those recordings in a legal sense.

I am physically disabled. Had stepped away from the phone and 'lumbered' back to answer the phone as I was expecting a call from my doctor. Very few people have and/or call on my land line...it was this non-charitable charity. LIAR LIARS. They are the worst - mostly taking money from the elderly. Kar-ma is not a car made in India that won't start. The world turns and they will be punished sometime somewhere for their evil doings.

Greg, just because you are exempt doesn't mean you should.  Those of us on the do not call list are on it for a reason -- we do not wish to have our phones used by people we don't know.  It's because of people with attitudes like yours that I NEVER contribute to anyone who solicits me over the phone.

Got a call from this person...made strange sounds and then hung up.

He's using goggle voice so he can be anywhere...thanks alot Google. He's scamming numbers from craigslict posts and spam calling people. SCAMMER.

Received several calls from this number. Leaves a name of the person claiming they have to verify my address to send me a package. Never ordered anything.
