Unwanted telemarketing calls to cell phone.

Same-called back-pressed 1, asked to be taken off list and told them I reported it.

Warning - Do not call back and ask to be "taken off" the list.  This is just a phishing scam to capture your number for more telemarketing calls.

If you are on the Federal Do Not Call list, report the violation to the Federal Do Not Call site.

Also, if you are contacted in this regard, please advise us through email: fraud_alert@hilton.com.

I'm so happy I saw all of these posts! I have been getting called from them at least 2 times a day for the past couple of weeks.. I called the number back hit option 1 and asked to be taken off of their call list. The guy I spoke to was very nice and said I wouldn't be receiving any more calls from them! Thanks for the advice!

* 26 * calls from that number between 20-July and 17-August while I was out of the country. I called back, hit option 2, asked to be taken off the list. I almost immediately received ANOTHER call from a similar number (one digit off from 407-722-3891) and it was THE SAME COMPANY. I reported it online to the Federal Don't F*ck With Me center.

Actually, this is a widespread scam which has nothing to do with Hilton.  It is a telemarketing fraud operated by a boiler room using illegal robo-dialers.

If you call and request that your number be placed on the internal "list" as this shill suggests, your number will be confirmed and repeatedly called in the future, as well as for other scams operated by this boiler room and their associates.

Be warned folks - this is a shill posting - don't fall for it!!

at least the call back number is real, and they will remove your name from their call list (ok so it takes up to 72 hours). at least the employees are pleasant

Regardless their promise to remove you from their list if you ask, these folks should not even HAVE your number in the first place. They STEAL it from Hilton Incorporated; I've been promised by Hilton they do not condone this activity. Every time I book a reservation at a local Hilton for a traveler, I leave my own phone number because I am the one making the reservation, but when Hilton Vacations call later on, they ask for the person who I made the reservation for.

I have made my LAST Hilton reservation, that's for certain.

I am on a DO-NOT-CALL List.  I neither initiated nor invited this call.

This is the number for a company that is owned byHilton Vacations.  I called back the number, hit option 2, and was transferred to a live person. I requested that my number me removed from their call list. The woman who assisted me was very polite and explained that they likely received my name and number from a Hiton Honors promotion or activity or trip that I registered for previously.

I've gotten two calls from this number. Caller ID says Orlando, FL. The first time, there was no voice, and the second time, a female on the other end identified herself as Nancy. I told her the person she wanted to talk to was not present, and she declined to leave a message, saying instead that she would call back later.

Have been receiving 3-5 calls a day since Monday - nobody onother end when answered and they do not leave a message.  It is Hilton Vacations, I contacted the number months ago and asked to be placed on their Do Not Call List (even though I am on the Federal Do Not Call Register). I recently stayed at a Hilton property, so my guess is that they place you on their solicitation list whenever you use your Hilton number (I guess I need to read the fine print when registering at the hotel).

Call at least twice a day - very annoying!

I receive calls daily from this number, and I too am on a no call list. When the phone rings and you answer it, there is not a person on the other end right away, this tells me its an automatic dialer. What good does it do to be on a no call list if telemarketers call you anyway. Isn't there a fine that they can be charged with?

I will let my friends three year old talk to them the next time they call.  It is alot of fun.

You would think that after a week or so of calling and no one answering that they would automatically cease calling!!!

While others will call this a scam, I can attest to the fact that it is not, that it is in some way affiliated with Hampton Inn/Hilton properties and Hilton Honors. My company had a very large event in the area in mid-May. We brought in dozens of people from around the country and I made hotel reservations for dozens of others who work for companies with whom we do business, and some of them preferred to stay at the Hampton Inn. Today I received a phone call from this number asking for one of those individuals (who does not work for my company). I told the caller that the person he was asking for does not work for our company, and all he mentioned was that she had stayed at one of the Hilton properties recently and had given this phone number (my direct dial number). I then contacted the sales manager of the local Hampton Inn and told her the story and she then called this number. Even she does not know how the group came to know names/phone number of this guest and explained this telemarketing effort had to stop immediately. She told me it would likely take 24 hours to be placed on their internal Do Not Call list, but after that it would be good for 5 years. We are both still unclear how they obtained this guest information and since others stayed at Hampton Inn at the same time, I may still get some phone calls. So while it's not a scam, it is still telemarketing but they will put you on their DNC list if you ask. If you have stayed at a Hilton property in the past 3-6 months, this is probably why you are getting phone calls, and you should specifically request to be placed on this group's DO NOT CALL list.

They call at least once a day. Never leave a message. Glad I looked up their number.
