Most phones have an option at a call level to block the number.  I have iPhone and when the number appears in my "recents" list, by selecting it and scrolling to the bottom there is an option to block the called.

Tap 2 as soon as you answer. Should do the trick.

AVG has a good one on it's mobile phone app. Also depending on your smartphone you probably have a program to block calls.

When I was younger, I hated prank calls.  I still do. I know many people find them amusing and harmless. They are not.

Called received on my mobile phone.  Starts off with a Computer message that I was selected from others in my area to receive a Free Walt Disney World "opportunity", they provided me a reference number, and asked me to press "1" for more information or press "2" to be added to their "Do Not Call" list.

I pressed "1".  A female operator who spoke fluent English, greeted me and asked me for my name.  Before she could ask me for any more information.  I asked for the name of her company.  

She immediately hung up the phone.  ... Sound disturbing to you?  Me too!

Just make a contact for the number on your cell than block the contact.  I'm up to SPAM6.

The DNC list is only a false sense of security. With all the number spoofing going on, it's impossible to track down the originators. We need to be notified day-zero of when these new numbers start their spam calls. Hooray for social media?

Get a good number blocking app and follow http://twitter.com/thednclistsucks and keep your block list current.

Recorded message telling me I've been selected for a Disney vacation package and it gave me a special claim number. It gave me the option to press 2 to be removed from their call list so I pressed 2. I shouldn't even have to press 2 as I am on the worthless do not call list.

Just received a hang up from this number. No clue as to who it is, but It's probably a scammer - my 2nd one today. Really fed up/

On the iPhone there is an option to "block this caller" when you look at the information on the specific call.
