Like others, I received a call yesterday which I did not answer.  A male voice did leave a message - and they called me by name!  That really creeped me out.  Of course, I thought it was a friend because the voice was sort of garbled and was not clear.

Just called, I didn't answer, they left no message.  I blocked them... they won't bother me anymore.

just called, they left a voicemail which only said "six three five"

Called, No message.

No message left

No one on the other end of this call.

They called me but they left a message. A woman just said the numbers, "635".

called my cell and hung up after the 2nd ring.

Calls multiple times but does not leave a message.

repeat calls / no ID / scam / get these sob's off the home lines.....

There's no need to come undone about these calls. They're going to happen, and if you have a phone you will have to deal with them eventually. It should be pretty obvious that no one can completely protect you from someone who is determined to call you, but there are some things you can do.

--Listing your number with the Do Not Call Registry helps, but it is essentially a voluntary compliance program and will not stop every unwanted call. They do have a complaint process. Check what it can and cannot do. www.donotcall.gov (From the website: "Even if your number is registered, some organizations may still call you, such as charities, political organizations, debt collectors and telephone surveyors."
--Check what the FCC can and cannot do. They also have a complaint process. www.fcc.gov/guides/unwanted-telephone-marketing-calls
--Many states now have statewide do-not-call lists for residents. Contact your state’s public service commission or consumer protection office to see if your state has such a list, and to find out how to register your number.
--If you see a number on your caller ID you don't recognize, DON'T ANSWER IT.
--And if they don't leave a message, don't call back.
--Use your carrier's blocking service or get a third party one if you're getting a repeating annoying call, but bear in mind that the worst offenders will likely just spoof a different number.

Personally, I have a simple response to unwanted calls: Ignore them.

I suspect this to be a solicitation call.

Hate these calls....never any ID on my cell and leave mo message...so I trace the numbers through here to find none are legit!
