Make report with the FCC instead online. I too am on the Do Not Call list. When I called the County Sheriff number given here, I was transferred four times to make a report. You cannot report them to the police because they have no authority over DNC list.

Just got the call, didn't answer. When I called it back, i received a message that the number was disconnected or no longer in service. Either the scammers are spoofing the phone number, or they are faking out the return calls.
The recording itself was different than the one I was used to from when I was little.

Someone from 407-935-5621 called & wanted to know if I'd like a free subscription to the monthly NAMBLA newsletter.  I'm not associated with any religious or political group and had no idea who they were & didn't care to hear the sales pitch so I declined.  But then I was curious after hanging up because I'm on the do not call list so I Google'd NAMBLA... GROSS!  WHAT THE HELL? WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE? IS THIS LEGAL?

Oh please little naive one.  Haven't you ever heard of technology?  Trust me, being in business and with the technology that is available, there are ways around it and no government listing is going to exempt you from it.  Government feeding the people soylent green and telling you, "its good for you!"  I've got some nice swamp land in Southern Florida I will sell you....lol.

this number called me I answered since I have job apps in all over, I heard sounds in the background and no one spoke then they hung up.

I got a call from this number and it was from Sallie Mae.

The F.C.C. allows you to file a complaint, but forwards that complaint to the F.T.C. All filing a complaint does is creates a clearing house for the local State Attorneys Generals Office of numbers which have violated the do Not Call Registry, and it is the local State Attorney Generals Office that prosecutes. People can also directly contact both their own local State Attorney Generals Office with the Consumer Protection Bureau and/or also with the State Attorney Generals office of the originating call.

This just happened to me and I was wondering if anything ever came of your incident. I'm nervous I'm gonna get a massive charge on my phone bill!
