It is a market research company that simply does surveys for companies that have hired them to do surveys on their part. If you don't wish to be called you could ask for your name and number to be removed and it will. But the do not call list is not honored for market research companies as far as getting our numbers. They don't sell anything that's also apart of the reason your number is still allowed to be giving to them. Don't be mad just answer and say do not call me please, as opposed to letting in ring and go to voicemail or answering and saying I'm busy or I don't have time.

I just received a call from this number and didn't answer as I screen odd numbers that call me.  They did leave a message-young girl from some marketing research company wanting to interview my daughter on why she chose the college she did.  Odd, how all of our info we have given we have been assured it would not be sold for other purposes.

I really don't know why you have to disturb people with you phone calls all the time.We don't pay a huge phone bill to have you abuse it,it is for our private use.I am on the no call list, and I will turn you in if you keep calling my home.

You guys should really stop freaking out.  If you actually participate in the research you get paid.  Research is always a good thing, people learn from it.  Plus I am being paid $50 to take a survey.  Maybe you should stop thinking about how busy your own lives are.

They are a market research company and so the DNC list does not apply to them. It only applies to telemarketers or those companies soliciting or selling items.  One of their staff were nice enough to explain this to me.  I received a call to participate in a survey. I decided to answer the questions and it was pretty quick.  I guess I have no complaints.

We are not scamming.  What do you based that conclusion on?  We are doing legitimate research.  We aren't selling anything.  No one will contact you (to try to "sell" you something) as a result of your participation in any of our studies, because they're confidential -- results are reported in the aggregate only.

Thank you for giving it a chance (and for posting the clarity about the DNC list)!  Glad to hear you had a pleasant experience - that's our goal!

A good market research company will respect the wishes of the people who we are inviting to participate in our research studies.  If you don't want to participate, the best way to be removed from the list is to pick up the phone and (respectfully) tell us not to call again for that study.

While I understand that it's annoying to get calls when you're busy doing something else, I respectfully suggest that you not answer the phone when you don't want to be bothered by outside disturbances.  We do not always leave messages because some people find THAT annoying too.  Instead, we tell our interviewers to leave a message every couple of days or so, so you at least understand why we're trying to reach you.  As I've replied in other posts, the best way to stop the calls is to answer the phone and ask us not to call you back for that study.  Or, you can call us back to tell us that, if you prefer.

Thank you for posting the truth.  Market research is an opportunity to be heard and to provide input that affects you and people like you -- ultimately with the goal of trying to understand what makes you happy.  To be clear, not ALL studies are paid (like the one you're referring to), but many are!
