We received a call from 410.910.0623 this morning.  This was a telemarketing call, thanking us for a VERIZON service...WHICH WE DO NOT HAVE!!!  I hung up before too much got said on the part of the caller.  It was a man.

We were called by this number today. Was not home to get the call. Based on the comments above, I seriously doubt any of those folks who claim they are getting some reward from Verizon are correct. Either they are part of the scam-trying to convince us to give personal information to this "legit" call-or they are clueless and don't realize they were scammed. Either way, don't give out your personal info, people. Just don't do it.

We've been getting HOUNDED by this number the past few days.  They're calling numerous times within an hour.  Finally forced myself to pick up the phone to find out who it was and why they were hounding us.  Naturally it was an automated caller announcing themselves as Verizon and that I needed to call an 800 number by the end of the month for some new Ultra Forward Service that I've subscribed to.

I've never subscribed to any such thing...so I have no idea what this is about.  It is to late in the afternoon now for me to call Verizon to verify any of this, and it's going into a weekend.  So Monday I'm going to ringing Verizon's phone off the hook in the hopes of getting some answers.

As with anything, be careful what you give out over the phone.  This call seems 'innocent' on the surface.  But they are wanting me to call an 800 number and use the last 4 digits of my phone number as a PIN...(Red flag)...

I had heard Rachel at Card Services lost her job.  and was concerned about her.  I'm happy for her that she's now found a job at Verizon.

It may be from Verizon, but it is still a scam.  I was left a message that said they sent me an email to my verizon.net email address.  I don't even have a Verizon.net email address and haven't for years!  If they in fact did send me an email, why would they call my phone with an automated message telling me so!!!!  I would already know that if I had an email address through them, because I would actually receive it that way!!!

I have read all of the posts here because I wanted to check the number before I called back.  I am a Verizon FiOS customer.  Well, I did and checked with a high school buddy of mine that works at Verizon if this was a scam or not.    It wasn't in my case.  After several years of being their customer, I changed my service to have a home phone.  In doing so, I received a visa gift card in the mail.  It is their rewards program.  Well, like any other company, I pay additional money every month, but I do get a visa gift card.  It covers about 2 months of added expense to my account.  Whoopie.  I still love their service as it's better than any other around my area.  Regardless, of who calls me, I NEVER GIVE OUT PERSONAL INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE.

This number has called me at least 6 times today.  I keep disconnecting it, but they keep trying.  It somehow rings 10 times (past when my answering machine should pick up).  I have not changed my service with Verizon recently, so I am not waiting for any rewards.

Same thing here am a Verizon Fios customer but hasn't changed anything, so why would their rewards be calling. Or make several Silent Hang up calls and not leave any messages. IF it was a Verizon Rewards it wouldn't be coming from Maryland according to our local Verizon office.

Just got a call with no one there to talk to within 30 seconds.

Looks like they have started up calling again after a long break.

I need that job! Long breaks, don't "need" to talk to anyone, sit around all-day, probably make good $$$ with benefits and vacation as needed from stress.;) Can't ask for much more than that can I??? :D

I am a Verizon customer and just got one of these calls.  I NEVER buy anything when someone calls me. If I want something, I call the company that sells it. Even if these calls are legit, I already pay Verizon an exorbitant amount for TV, phone and Internet, so I'm not inclined to buy MORE overpriced stuff from them. I just don't answer.

You bet your life it's a RED flag. I give no info over the phone unless I make the call myself.  So many scammers , it's not even funny!!!!   I do block numbers but they have a way to call you under another number like some stupid letters on top      SFS
308       Does that look like a phone number to any of you? They think we are stupid!

In got a recorded call from this number that went to my voice mail since I'm away from home now. It said "We have increased your upload speed to equal your download speed. Your new speed will be 15Mb/s up and 15Mb/s down."
(I am a Verizon FIOS customer and my rate was previously 15 Mb/s down and 5 Mb/s up)
"Thanks for being a loyal Verizon customer"
and then they hung up. Seems legit to me. (I'll have to measure to make sure its true)

I had just cleared up some problems with my Verizon account and then I get this recorded phone call asking me to go to a web site and put in my pin not my password. It said my Verizon account had been frozen. I don't trust unsolicited phone calls or emails and always go to the original source, not what the recorded message or email says. I checked and my Verizon account is fine, so I "Binged" the number and am finding out it is a scam, got to be always on my toes.

This is NOT a telemarketer, just an automated call regarding my FIOS installation. Do not panic people, LOL.

Called three times. First 2 times during the second ring, I pressed the "talk" button immediately followed by the "off" button. Supposedly the line goes dead for the caller except if it's a robo call. Decided to answer the phone the third time. No one there. Knew, though, that it was a sales call.
