They call all the time. They are related to oxford law llc, albany ny, sunrocket and many others. They are full of crap. Scavenger collection agency that will try to bully people into paying for ancient debts. My debt is well over 10 years old. I hope they read these posts from time to time and consider getting real jobs that don't involve intimidation,extortion, and threats. Hey vultures- if you are reading this-GO TO HELL.

I have received up to 20 calls PER DAY-including Saturday and Sunday.  Sometimes from different numbers. They have called my sisters mother in law and told her I wrote a back check and used her as a reference. What a load of crap. I don't know my sisters mother in laws name, nor have I written a check in last 15 years!! I don't know how these low lifes got my sister's in laws' info but they are bottom feeding scum. Filing complaint with Attorney General and considering a harrasment lawsuit. They also told me that the police could show up to my home or place of work at any time since I have committed fraud. LIARS and THIEVES. DON'T SPEAK TO THEM!!! They can't prove your debt and they can't provide you with any info you request about he alleged debt they say you owe. Therefore, they CAN'T COLLECT.

Not sure how these folks got my number, perhaps from new accounts with Bank of America or Discover in the past week. All they could possibly be calling about are debts written off over 10 years ago.

Same with me.  I keep telling the fools that it is a matter of public record that the bill was paid.  That doesn't stop them.  So now, I just say..."You must be one of those ex-felons that they had on TV.  I understand your plight and your pinned up anger.  I hope this helps you make your call quota."  Then I just hang up before they can overtalk me. :)

The number 412-282-1421 has called me at 10pm on some days. They like to call at all different times. They never leave a voicemail though. Is that illegal in any way? I have never answered it so i'm not really sure what they're calling about. Should I answer and find out?

Yes... the bottom dwelling scum are at it again.  Good ol' *60 blocks 'em for a while.  But they will try another number I'm sure.  They over look that I'm debt free from a Chapter 7 from 2 years ago.

Times are tough, but the LAW will be tougher on these pond scum.

This is the most annoying debt collector ever.They are trying to say I owe money from over 20 years ago.I am contacting an attorney.

this is really dumb. I got a new number to avoid people i didnt want to talk to, not to have misc. people call me up and bug the crap out of me

Portfolio recovery I have not answered the phone when they call because I have no bad debt filed chapter 13 over 9 years ago and paid off all bad debt thats what chapter 13 is dip [***] and if your calling for the people who use to live here like the other creditors you can stop not sure how the heck you get my number since I have had it for years but the BROWNS don't live here. I moved into my house 3 years ago and all of a sudden credotirs have been calling one actually tried to tell me whoever had the debt gave them this number I said REALLY I don't think so nice try they never called back. Next time recovery calls gonna answer and see who they are looking for.

CALL THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION AT 1-202-326-2222 OR ON THE WEB GO TO www.ftc.gov  THEN THEY WILL STOP. BE SURE TO HAVE THE TEL # THEY CALLED YOU FROM AND THE NAME OF THE PERSON THAT CALLED YOU, DOCUMENT EVERY WORD THEY SAID TO YOU. THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION DOES NOT TOLERATE THIS ABUSE, EVEN IF YOU OWE PORTFOLIO MONEY.

I have tried over and over and over to deal with the DO NOT CALL/FTC and they absolutely DO NOTHING TO STOP THESE CROOKS

They are not only using this number and the other numbers listed, but also they are also calling using State Names on Caller ID with no area code just a 3x4 digit number so you can't trace the number.

I have been receiving calls from this number as well. I was recently sued by a law firm in New York who claimed they were representing Citibank but I have every reason to believe this law firm bought a written-off debt because IRS policy forbids anyone from collecting debts that are written off because a "bad debt expense" can be deducted from income tax. I would love love to know the name of the law office you dealt with, it may be the same one I dealt with. Someone once told me that FTC stands for Federal Trade Commission AND F#$% The Consumer/citizen. I believe they are right.

Well... they wanted to come take the motorcycles we purchased 10 years ago at our Beaverton address and will be here tomorrow.  Fine with me since we never bought motorcycles and do not live in Beaverton. They rattled off some address and all I said was :the loan is the same address it was taken out in" so I feel for the home owner when they show up for motorcycles they most likely never purchased either
