I just received a call from this number with the ID of SDC attached to it. Since I do not answer calls from numbers/names that I do not know, I let it go to voice mail. No message was left, not even from a computer.

I got this phone call asking me for my insurance info for my medication.

Yes but they should already have your info on file.

This is a scam because why ask for your insurance id number when they should have it already and I call the 800 number they did not recognized this number.

I received a call from this number; 412-825-8852 claiming to be CVS Caremark. They needed me to confirm personal information for them before telling me the reason for their call. I declined to give them the requested info. I have not filled a prescription at CVS in 2 years so they have no reason to contact me. After I refused to provide the caller with the information he requested, he said he would contact my doctor's office. I told him that was fine and wished him well. There are too many scam organizations these days so I would caution anyone from readily giving their personal information to people over the phone without verifying who they are and that they have a legitimate reason for calling you.

This is legit.  Even if you do not have orders at CVS.  This is from CVS caremark which has replaced Wellmark among other pharmacy insurance benefit managers.  They are verifying a specialty drug that has to be sent to the pharmacy or your home.  You do not need to give them credit card information.  You can request to pay for it at the pharmacy of your choice.  They have your medical information already.  You just need to give them your birth date and address for BS Hippa regulations.  Same as you have to give the pharmacist.

This is a LEGITIMATE call from CVS specialty pharmacy...Relax people.

CVS Specialty calling about filling my anti-rejection medicine. This is a legit number & company not a scam.

I swear some of these fools are natural born idiots. It is NOT a scam and is an indeed a legit phone number for CVS Caremark specialty pharmacy.  It calls me monthly about my medication that is filled there. One previous poster claimed her pharmacy was Express Scripts and Express Scripts is not an actual pharmacy but a mere liaison to the real pharmacy.  I use Express Scripts too in which  goes straight to CVS Caremark. Imagine that.

I got a call from this number 4 minutes after I got a call from CVS about my med refill.  This is not CVS; as they didn't leave a message and I had just taken care of my business with CVS pharmacy about my meds.

it is CVS it's coming directly from the Pennsylvania office which is why it comes up as a 412 area code the toll free# is 800-498-5601

It is not a typo - they ask you to provide your phone number because they don't have it - they say it's an automated call so they don't have it and need to verify all your personal information.  This is NOT the CVS Specialty RX that I deal with every month it is a SCAM! I have used CSV SRX since 2015 and have never called this number nor been called by it until today. Put this on call block

It is a ligitimate number. I got a call from this number in the morning. The representative also asked me to give her the name, address and date of birth. She then went on to give instructions on contacting a patient assistance program offered by the pharmaceutical company for a specialty medication. I suspected it was a scan so called the 800 number on the back of CVS/Caremark prescription card, and they confirmed that one of their customer reps called me from the 412 number. They told me that the outbound numbers are sometimes different from the inbound number they printed on the insurance or prescription card.
