Sounds like I am one of many who is experiencing the same problem.  I had a $2.95 charge in December of 2007, then a $4.95 charge in April 2008.  I have ordered nothing from them.  No response to a phone call or e-mail that I sent EBS.  The PA Attorney General needs to look into this outfit.

In answer to Motobuddy. Equifax matches with me as far as having any kind of dealing from your list. We have been charged fraudulently twice since the first of the year. 4.95 in Jan. and 6.95 this month. We called the bank and had them file a claim on the 6.95.

I too had a charge from this company on my credit card.  The previous fraudulent charge was for $9.00 from CENTER COMPANY 888-856-8228 FL .  I use some of the same companies as Motobuddy, but none with this particular card.

I have received a 3rd charge from this company... and it sucks as the card that it appears on is one those bad credit, credit cards I got to  help rebuild my score... and they are HELL to deal with.. I have to wait at least 2 months to dispute and they wont take it by the phone, I have to send in the slip from the statement- keep in mind I went paperless and only receive and email.... and the online function is a bunch of crap as well.. can we tell I am frustrated...
This EBS needs to be stopped and we need to launch a class action lawsuit- its such an obvious SCAM its not funny..

We had an unauthorized charge of $4.95 from this company in Feb. and I called the bank to report that I did not make the charge.  I also called the phone number listed on my statement and, like everyone else, the recording said the voice mailbox was full.  The bank took the amount off of my credit card bill but told me that for amounts this small, they do not even investigate.   Then it appeared again on my current bill, the chage was dated 04/08/08 for $4.95.  I called the bank again and they took it off my bill, also will be changing my account number.

The only company that has our credit card info. from the list above is Equifax.

Damnit, I just got hit with a charge of $6.95 from this number on May 11.

Who is using my debit card and charging $4.95 for ebooks I don't remember ordering.  STOP IT NOW. Electronic Business Resources is listed for this #

I had a charge from this business several months ago which I disputed.  Now I have another one on my credit card for $6.95.  How annoying.

This scam-artist hit me again recently for $4.95....previously for $6.95 and $4.95...3 times total...about every 3 months....The Pittsburgh BBB no longer accepts complaints about this parasite since they claim that they can't trace them...just cancel your card....and keep a close eye on your account for future scams.

i am dealing with a 6th charge on my card and like someone stated above its one of those cards that help rebuild your credit.. I almost missed this recent charge on 07/23/08- same thing- i dont know why my cc keeps letting it through....- so like the other person stated - so I got to wait 2 months for this to come off once again....
we really need to contact an attorny in the PA area to get this lawsuit rolling against the company thats presenting the charge and the company they got our information from.. I am now cancelling this card and getting a new number and if it continues on this card- I will know the result is from MY credit card company- they have a inside leak somewhere..

I too got hit with a $4.95 charge.  I very rarely use this card, in fact in the past 12 months, the only charges that I have had are: 3 from this Electronic Business company (all three for $4.95).  Rather than to research this issue in the past, I just paid the balance.

But after the 3rd hit, I did some research such as finding this web site.  I contacted my bank and their only suggestion was to cancel the card.  The only other charge that I have used this card for was for an Equifax purchase.  I read above where two others also linked their cards to Equifax.  That sounds like the link to me.

I ended up canceling my card today.

This is not the first bogus change on my Visa debit card. In July I ordered a "Free" DVD on "how to apply for Government Grants" that cost $2.29 shipping and handling (No, it was not Video Professor). I never received the DVD but about 2 weeks later a $29.99 charge appeared on my bank statement, I started going over my statement and so far have found 7 different charges, of which this one with the phone number "412...." is the last. I had to obtain a new Visa card with a new account.

I, too, had a fraudulent charge of $4.95 on my debit/credit card, which was attributed to "ELECTRONIC BUSINESS RE 4129270410 PA" on my bank statement.  Sadly, I found it too late, and my bank wouldn't let me dispute it, and it wasn't the only charge made by fraudulent companies.  The others were made by Enid Incorporated and Image Company, in FL and NJ, respectively.

Sadder still, my bank informed me that there was really no way of finding out who was truly behind these charges.  Evidently, they don't care.  I could understand a credit card company having that attitude, but a bank?  Come on.  And then they charge me $5 for a new card on top of letting someone steal from me?  Yet another scam, if you ask me.

Oh, and Equifax matches with me, as well.

Same as others, I was charged $4.95 on my credit card on Christmas Day, but did not make any purchase with this book company or even know of their web site.

I also have a charge on my CC that I did not make with this company for $6.95.  I have used Equifax with this card - hmmm. (see post from 4/22).  My bank is looking into this.  I know I have not ordered any books from this site and I am the only one who has access to my card.

Just got a $4.95 charge from ELECTRONIC BUSINESS RESO on 2/3/09.  I have never used a credit card with Equifax, but I did have an free account with them because (OK, this gets weird) I was part of the group of people whose personal details were on the laptop that the HP HR consultant lost in the Stanford Shopping Center parking lot.  This sounds like ordinary but large scale credit card fraud - clever of these people to do just $4.95 or $6.95 but probably on thousands of people since they can buy credit card numbers for almost nothing.  I'm really surprised Chase fraud detection didn't block it since it is almost certainly a card-not-present transaction and the vendor must have complaints against them.  I've had Chase block ME from using my card at a local gas station so this is a real failure on their part.  We should all report this to the Penna AG Internet fraud folks - these guys could be raking in 100's of thousands of dollars with this since most people don't check their cards.

I filed a report with the Better Business Bureau. The same thing just happend to my husband and I. It was a 4.95charge and we've never used equifax or any of the others listed there. There wasnt a call at all for me. Just the random charge via debit on our account

The same thing happened to me on 3/13, a charge of $4.95. I have disputed the charge with my credit card company and requested that they do not accept any charges from this company again. From the looks of the other posts, I guess I can expect to see more of the same until I cancel this account. Has anyone contacted Equifax about this scam?

I also recieved a charge on 3-13-09 for 2.95.
I just dont want it to happen again
