They called me twice today (Saturday), once late morning and once late afternoon. Just noticed it on the caller ID, so wasn't around to pick it up. No messages left. Interesting to read the chatter here.

One time I got a call from the 414 code from some guy with a deep voice identifying himself by first name only with the fraud department at US Bank. I was immediately suspicious. He asked me if I was in possession of my credit card, then said they had noticed it was used twice that day in other states plus the state in which I live. But he never asked me for any proprietary information, and it turned out there was fraud (not sure how the crook(s) got the card number) so I guess that call was legit.

Just got an acct at us bank and they are calling. Thank you for all the info did not pick up...

Market Probe is a research company that does business with companies (banks, prescription drug companies, etc.) Companies provide lists of their customers for Market Probe to SURVEY. They are calling you to gather research data for the company you use/shop at/bank at. There is not an easy way for them to tell if your number is a cellphone or not although they do try not to call cellphones. Also, if you request to be put on the DNC list, it will be granted if you provide your phone number. If they still call, contact their direct line where you can speak to someone who isn't a teenager getting paid minimum wage, who will likely ignore your request out of apathy.

I should also point out that Market Probe has a lot of clients, not just USBank. Although USBank is one of the clients that has a very high call rate due to the number of customers they have.

first call from this number,however, prior to today, I have been bombarded with calls from a 315 703 1093 and a 302 282 8004 number.  A man and a woman team, attempting to sound like a person from another country.  I told one of them to get f------d and they lost their accent.

I get call from 414-778-6000 two to three times a day, when I answer they hang up.  I will not answer this number.

Had them call several times ... on several occasions they were calling on behalf of a local car dealership where we've had one of our car services, the other times they've called on behalf of US Bank.

Being on the National DNC call list does not help, as it does not stop businesses that you have a working relationaship with (that includes having an actual account with US Bank, versus simply inquiring at US Bank about the possibility of opening an account).  You can ask the individual businesses to put you on an internal DNC list, assuming they maintain one.  But that's about the only recourse that you have.  They are not violating any national DNC list laws.

If you really don't want to be bothered, stick to one phone number that you distribute to businesses, etc. I tend to give out a cell phone number (I have 2 cell phones, so I give out the one I'm least likely to have turned on), then I keep the phone on silent so I'm not bothered by the constant calls.  I check it once or twice a day for missed calls and messages, deleting all of the PITA calls (like these folks) that I don't care about.

number calls in 2 and 3 times daily and hangs up if it goes to voice mail.  According to the posts it is a marketing probe being charged to US Bank.  I call ed US Bank and they claim they are NOT doing any market probes.  They stressed that I should NOT give out any of my bank info.....but the phone companies will not do anything about it.....they just tell you call the nuisance line which is just a recording.....and then you call the bank and all they can do is say they will write up a complaint report.....big help that is...

Caller ID says Market Probe. The name was enough to keep me from answering this call. According to many of you, this is suppose to be about US Bank. Funny, we've never done business with US Bank.

They are a marketing research firm so the national DNC list does not affect them, but if the calls bother you, answer them and take the survey, or ask to be taken off the list and they will stop contacting you.  They will even give you contact number for US Bank to prove their legitimacy.

You people are stupid... Gallup does surveys for U.S. Bank on service received to better suit you... And DNC does not apply to companies that do not solicit or sell anything.. If that were the case, the government couldn't conduct health surveys. Please read the TOS agreement concerning the DNC list. It specifically states that survey companies such as the Gallup Poll does not apply. Blame yourself for your own stupidity people!

I truly understand how you feel I am a former employee and believe the interviewers forwards the complains to managent as they to get tried of calling people that constantly to be taken off the list as they are on DNC list but interviewers are trained to say the list doesn't apply because they are not solicating a horrible company I remember calling clients over and over to be told not to call back

Got call from this number:Questioning Gas stations in area..advised was on "Do Not Call List" she said it didn't matter was selling anything...

I never receive calls like this but I recently went from Verizon to Straight Talk Cell phone companies.  I recently received a new credit card also so maybe it is US Bank. I don't know because I didn't answer.
