I'm actually a writer. There's much the same problem in the publishing industry - no actual agency or publisher will take money upfront. They trust the talent they accept to make enough money to pay them.

Do not pay money for these services. You will never see it again. Preying on the aspiring is cruel, and HNE are vultures.

These are the facts. I found those links with a 30 second Google search. Do your own research about organisations like this before you part with your money.

PEOPLE!!!! Apply like most people.... Improve your odds by continues applications... ( there is actually a book called " The luck factor"  that says a lot of people that win sweepstakes.... submit many entrys to many different ones throughout the week improving their odds of winning.)  Apply Apply Apply... Keep doing it... Watch the shows you want to be on, get creative... with your applications. Don't take the chance that you will be the 1 in how many ever hundreds there are that get on a show with H.N.E  with your 288.

BTW...

I applied for H.N.E many different times with different names.. using some (no offense) funky looking peeps pics... With a boring boring personality and was still told I'd be great. So try it out for yourself... lol...

This company is a joke, they use fake names, and fake castings, ask for money to make zed cards from really poor quality pictures!haha!!I wonder how this kind of scam would work on any person. Trust me, I have been in 3 magazines,a calender, a national compaign... I worked with a lot of trustworthy people and "HNE" castings are not.

Panda did you actually use HNE?  Most companies prefer credit because it is traceable and instant.  I know I prefer online payments with my business.  Money order can be false, and take time to cash.  Just because someone prefers credit, are they a scam?  I would guess since Pappa Johns Pizza takes credit, they are scammers too.  Have you ever done anything in any entertainment business?  I do not know anyone that takes cheque or money order.  It blows my mind how you seem to be so stuck up.  You act like your opinion is the cold hard truth, when in reaity, it is your own twisted lies.  Go cry in your pillow, pop a zoloft.  I bet you are some ugly girl that never got hit on or picked up.  Sucks to be you!  Let us rich and beautiful people rule the world, while you can do my laundry.

I've been doing research online all afternoon... A big waste of a day off, mind you! I can't say this or that, but I will say I won't be doing business with them, legit or not. Point being, is that they offer a service. One you can do on your own. My personal opinion is that they just do the leg work you can do on your own, nothing more and nothing less. I don't need the service when I have successfully, in my initial application, had audition call backs!

My advice is to network and become friends with those in the industry your looking to succeed in. Unless your one of the freak occurances; Harrison Ford on the set of Star Wars, Sean Williams Scott working as a cashier at Home Depot, Brad Pitt the iron mill worker walking down the street... Your going to have to have some late nights and long weekends, networking, finding the scene and making contacts! Also, if you need a professional portfolio I'm sure you know someone or know of someone who knows a photographer that specializes in portfolios... Use that connection! If not, go to a university or community college and seek out film/ photography majors as they will do professional work and a comped rate, maybe free! A lot of times you just have to buy the film and pay for processing materials. They might be students but they wouldn't major in something they didn't already have a nack or talent for and they also have access to professional equipment and labs you won't get with walgreens or photoshop! If you need a 2 minute video (which most reality shows require) A film student would be more than happy to film/edit or you can do it on your own... I'll let you figure out what might (might not) increase your chances!

In all regards, this is the part of showbusiness that emphasizes more directly on the show part and not the business! Plus, remember, you are promoting yourself as a service to whatever network your interests lie! You don't have to be a salesperson to understand that the first impression is always the lasting impression, so make sure it's up to your quality of standards!

I have utilized everything I have written in this comment and have had auditions for The Moment of Truth and Spike's America's Biggest A**hole! Unfortunatley I didn't do my best in the auditions, or I just wasn't really what they were looking for after meeting me in person! Either way, who knows and who cares! That's the limelight for ya! It's not going to sway me into believing I can't do it on my own. It is possible, it's not that expensive and it's not that hard! Print off the applications, do the requirements diligently and above all be bigger than life at the auditions! You have to be animated and alive on camera or else you'll just look dull and gray! After all... Isn't that what drew you into whatever show you're aspiring to be on?

Some of you ppl say you have seen Hne in person. Well, you are a liar... The place is not even where they say it is.. It several hundred miles away.. And that place is only a PO Box and a laundry store. Saw it on FOX News with my own eyes and there is even a video site posted in one of the comments above this one... You ppl saying you have been there and got work with them are liars and work for them... It's shame ppl are taking advantage of others disiring dreams, so sad... God will deal with you ppl when your time comes. Until then may you change your evil ways... Hne is a fraud fraud fraud... I did my research and was glad I did.. They didn't get my money.. When I called them out on the devicious ways they just sent an email saying ..We respect your opinion and wish you well.... I wish something could be done to these ppl who are scamming others.... Just be smart ppl, do your own police work and investigate no matter how real it may sound... You can find anything on the web..

I think it's interesting that any of you have talked to anyone from HNE Reality (in person), if any of you actually do your homework, production companies do not use casting agencies at all, they use their own casting or production agents.....therefor no need for HNE Reality.....GOOGLE HNE Reality Scams and go to the NBC link of a video regarding the research NBC did into the fake company HNE Casting now referred to as HNE Reality....go to NBC.com and you can apply directly from the NBC casting link on their site......you don't need to send any money for this either.
