Got a call from a woman at this number claiming to be from Revenue Canada, asking for birthdate.Claiming to have a letter returned from this address.

My mother received a call from the number 1 416 777 7775 with a woman pretending to be me stating that I had won tickets to a concert with a friend in Montreal.  She proceeded to claim that I had a few drinks, got in a car accident (saying I had stitches in my lip and my friend “Sally” was in a neckbrace) and now needed CDN$5000 to pay a lawyer who agreed to help get the car fixed and assist with the impaired driving charges.

A fake lawyer also came on the phone to claim that he was with my mother’s “daughter” and was going to help her.  

My mother panicked and since she thought she was helping me she followed the man’s request of wiring $5000 via Western Union (plus $200 transaction fees).  

When I didn’t call back, concern mounted and my parents called me to find out that I was not at all in Montreal and that my family had been scammed.

I got a call from this number but no one was speaking, I just want to know that from where i got the same call. Pls help me to know about this

My 84 yr old neighbour received the same call exactly as Gramma from you favourite grandson NOT!!!
Luckly she was sharp enough to call me. I wanted to report this scam to the police but they are just too busy. The best thing is to hang up. She received two calls. The first was no answer the second asked why she hung up on him. The police say the best way to end this is to make seniors aware!!
Something must be able to be done. We are now March 2011 this has been going on for over 3 years.

I just recieved a call from my father, in a panic that My son, had called him , and sounded like him and he knew his name and requested some money as he and a friend had flown to Montreal on sunday and was in trouble. Upon athis call I have called my son  which is in alberta and is not in trouble and is not in Montreal , so You can figure it out from thier , Scam Scam Scam

Phone call this morning from 416 777 7775.  Caller was a male claiming to be my grandson.  He knew the name of my grandson and when I asked him questions that only my grandson could know, this jerk wad hung up.  I ad been scammed once before by this type of caller...  Phoned the police and they said there was nothing they could do....

Received a call from 416-777-7775 from someone who knew my name and said he was my grandson. He said his name was Clitoris. He mumbled his answers. When I asked him what he wanted he said I was rude and hung up.

this number called me on 10-12-2011, said he was my grandson,even knew his name. please don't  even talk to them.this man called from Gorgetown,Guyana or that is what he said.He said to send the money to Vernon Griffith. 42 Main st. Gorgetown,,Guyana. please somebody stop this person!!!!

I received a call from this number and couldn't answer. A message was left to call John Lee at 800.604.9001 in regards to my $7000 loan being approved. I knew I hadn't applied for a loan but called anyway. They wanted to give me a loan but I had to pay $335 for insurance.What A scam! The 800 number is somewhere in China! Do not fall for this scam.

Same type of story / My mother received a call / the caller sated he was her grandson / had the correct name but did not sound like him. Upon questioning who it was / he changed the name given. Once my mother stated that she did not know him. she was hung up upon.

This person called me Tuesday morning claiming to be my grandson.  I asked him what number he was calling and he gave me ny number.  I asked him who he was calling and he gave me my name.  I told him I ws not a grandmother and he hung up.

Got a call from my mom. Same story as above/below. My son was in a car accident with people from Dominican Republic. He was in jail and if he paid their hospital bills, then they would let him out. Googled number and here I am. This call came to Central Texas!! BEWARE!! SCAM!!!
