416-847-4999

It's true what one person said, this number, 416-847-4999, is a long distance connecting number.  For example, sometimes when some of my relatives in China call me here in Canada, they will use a special long distance service which happens to connect through this number, which is why it comes up on the call display.  I have it programmed in my phone as "Call from China."  So far, everytime this number shows up, and the corresponding "Call from China" entry, it's actually a call from Friends/Relatives in China.

This is a Portuguese guy who leaves in Lawrence and Jane he claims... he used this number to call... it does not work calling back.. he calls girls and sex chat on the phone with them and then... he is a criminal as far as we can tell.. he should be reported

From the other people here that received a call from this number, it seems I got off easy.
If this 'person' call me or you back, lets make sure to give them a harsh response !

I also got a phone call from this number. He had an Indian accent, and I first thought it was telemarketing because he asked for the owner of the house. When I told him, they weren't home. He asked me what my name was, when I insisted he tell me his first, he replied John. I asked him why he was calling, he replied to "for time past". Then I asked him why he asked to speak to the owner of the house, again he said "for time past". And, the [***] said that he wants to talk to me and "be my friend".
I then asked him if this was a joke, and he replied "What do you think?". At this point, I said goodbye and hung up.

My house phone rang on April 28th, 2010 about 12:28 pm, when I answered no one were there. So I try this no back and it said the number is out of service. Anyway I am with Primus Canada, so I will inform them shortly I will also block this no from coming through in the future. I personally think these unwanted calls is very annoying especially when you are very busy.

A politician,   or phone company who offers a way of restraining annoying calls like this would gain support.  We need a way of stopping stupid, unwanted calls.

I'm getting calls from this number during the day. It was a man asking for someone in the house but I tell him they're not here, and he hangs up. Three days in a row now.Caller ID: 416 847 4999

My nanny answered a call from this number.  Guy asked for my wife by name.  When the nanny said wife was not home he asked my nanny if she wants to go out tonight.  Nanny is a little freaked out.  I found this site after googling for the number.

Picked up phone and it was my wife calling from China, though the caller id showed 416 847 4999. Really weird, and neither my wife nor me had any idea about that.

OMG i get calls from this person like 5 times a day!
right now its 3:10 pm and they have called 3 times already!

This number once called my house 8 times in one night. No, i'm sorry, within one hour in one night. I had to unplug my phone to get them to stop calling over and over. I can hear them breathing. I think it is a calling card. This is unbelievable!!!

Ok I got the same call in Whitby Ontario but it went to machine and they hung up.

Received a call from "Bell Canada" and the woman (with a thick accent) stated I was entitled to a free upgrade of my phone for only $25 a month for 2 years and I had to pay for it up front by credit card. There is no way this is Bell Canada. If you receive a call from this number, hang up immediately. Or have a little fun with them and waste their precious thieving time like I did.

This is a disguised number. Depending on your provider, anytime you use *67(to block your number) when phoning someone, the person on the other end will get 416-847-4999 or another number on call display...which doesn't exist. With other providers, call display might read "unknown" or "private".

In other words, it could be anybody who blocks their number when calling you. I know this because I blocked my number when phoning a friend once and my friend's call display showed this particular phone number.

I got a call from 416-847-4999 telling me that he's calling me on behalf of bell canada, when I told him, I am not interested in making any changes on my services, he said: I will call you back..... i thought I  got it wrong I said what did you say? he said you want it or not I will call you back..... sooooo rude, calling at 9:30 in the evening, and talking this way... that is not acceptable!

I received a phone call today from this number, and it was made from McMaster Univerity.  The lady who phoned me left a different number to call back on.  I tried the 416-847-4999 number and could not get through.
