Trying to sell insurance if your hospitalized from scotia supposedly

Thanks. I just got a call from that number.  I have a call block feature. I don't fall for this stuff.

The girl said that she is from Scotia bank offering free insurance and 300,000 insurance at cost.  Then she proceeds to ask for my  banking information.  Since the caller ID only shows the phone number, I have no idea who the caller is and would be foolish to disclose any banking information.  It is poor telemarketing if she is really from Scotia bank.  Scotia bank should either stop this practice or disclose such scam ASAP.

Thay tap in to your phone number and run it up $$$$$$$$.  It from Afghan the [***] that start war with us like Canada, U.S.A. and the U.K. as wall.

I received three phone calls from this number, however all the times no voice message was left

Called a few times over the last few days. Didn't answer. The call at 6:45 am this morning was the last straw. Saw people say that they claim to be Scotiabank when I looked up annoying number, so I call Scotiabank. They tell me that they have NO SUCH NUMBER on their calling lists ANYWHERE, so it's a SCAM. Do not give info. to them if you like to keep your life in order!

Scotia Bank scam ... Interesting how we all pay outrageous service fees, yet the banks have the authority to sell our personal data.  This number calls me at minimum 4 times per month.

Stalkers just get apps to change their #.
Could be anyone.
Get app to block.
There is a process to clean off creditors ability to sell off your info. It helps your credit score too.
Never let prank callers get to you.
Thinking best not to answer.

my wife received a call today and they asked for me. when my wife said I was not at home and asked if she could help. the person told her it was non of her business doe to the privacy act and hung up. Question: if they can't give info because of the privacy act. Why are they recording the conversation. Is that not against our privacy?

This number calls me claiming to be Scotiabank- but they want personal information.

This number calls several times a day, usually when I am at work so I miss their call. There is never a message left.

Ive been getting alot of calls from random 416 and 647 numbers, this one you guys are talking about always calls.. Its someone hacking phone numbers and calling from them trying to get any info.  I dont even have scotia bank, when i called my bank and phone company theres literally nothing anyone can do just do not answer or give any info.

These guys call me continuously! Seems like a scam to me! Don't tell them any info.

Listen: call Scotia Bank and complain, these calls are from the insurance end of this bank. ScotiaLife Financial. I am on a do not call list but it doesn't help, you have to call the bank and complain and they said there are multiple lists to be removed from. If more people complain directly to the bank, then maybe they will decide that telemarketing isn't the best way to keep customers!
