I got a call form them and we LOVE BRANSON! So I aske dofr them to call back when my dear hubby returned from work. I did a little resaerch  from the phone number and they got an "F" with the BBB

Just a point of clarity.

Ozark Mountain Getaways and Ozark Mountain Vacation Services are NOT the same company or have the same owner.  The owner of Ozark Mountain Vacation Services purchased the call center from Getaways in January.  The owner of the call center uses the call center to market two hotels he owns in Branson. He has a stellar reputation in the community.  Ozark Mountain Vacation Services is also subsidized by various timeshare and vacation clubs in Branson otherwise it could not offer the deeply discounted vacations.  

Let's get real, how can a hotel offer 2-3 nights, meals and show tickets as well as other items and pay a sales person a commission plus cover the overhead of a call center for $100 or so?  The vacation packages are real and legitimate but subsidized by sales organizations that want an hour of your time to talk to you about their offering.  The company is legitimate, real and customer focused.

The call list Vacation Services uses is from people who have expressed interest in vacationing in Branson. The phone numbers are matched with the the Do Not Call list.  The operators answering the phone are not hanging up but trying to transfer callers to an automatic do not call system that is set up on their dialer equipment.  If a person does not want to be called again then they simply enter their phone number and the computer removes the number from the registry. The computer is set up to call a number up to 10 times before the number is removed from the list.  So if you do not answer and have your number removed, the computer will keep calling until the limit is reached. I know for a fact the owner does not want numbers called to people who want their name on a Do Not Call list.  Just ask and it will be removed.  It really is that simple.


Vacation Services does NOT have complaints with the BBB or the Attorney General.  The owner is very legitimate and is hard nosed about proper care of customers.

I know for a fact because I used to work there.  

I also used to for the Dennis Dodd who owned Ozark Mountain Getaways and know for a fact that he had a lot of complaints and could care less about a customer.

Don't get the two companies mixed up. They are not the same at all.

My son (12 years old)keeps getting calls from this number 417-882-1248 and my son's cell phone number is registered on the National Do Not Call List.

Call comes in daily from this number when I answer their is nothing but silence.

MUST READ. After getting numerous calls from this place.  I played with their telephone number by calling them back over and over. Here is what you have to do.  Call thier number 1-417-882-1248.  When you hear the recording that they are experiencing heavy call volume (which you will) just dial ext. numbers.  I've found that the following numbers work: 103, 104, 105, 106, 107.  Somebody will eventually answer.  The key is to get into their voice mail.  Always a supervisor on duty.  I will do it until the cows come home.

I worked for this company for 3 days then learned that it's a 1099 company.  The money they said we would get was a lot and I got a sale the first day so I was siked but after reading this and spending an entire day working there I can't stand it.  I'm pretty sure of two others who are quitting with me so if you got a call from me you never will again.  Also, I was told that the phone numbers were collected from people who had already been to branson and filled out some sort of information sheet for a survey or raffle or something so I don't know how they are getting the unlisted numbers, sorry.

I just want to let you folks know that if you get contacted by these people be very leary! Ozark Mountain Vacation Services has absolutly no kooth and no respect for its customers! I used to work for them and they are very unproffesional! Who allows a person contact a customer and become a complete hag to them because they say NO? Now being in the industry I know that the first NO you get is to get you off the phone! However if you take over a call or are the peron that placed the call you need to know that to be a rude hag is wrong! So do beware of this when taking to these people! As for the owner he is a keniving theif that breaches contracts! Good luck to you all!

Beware they will take your money and then not honor your vacation package.  NO REFUNDS>>>>  ONE of the qualifications was not met, at the time of the purchace the annual income for a single person was $40,000, which was on my contract letter received from them.  When I called two weeks ago to make a reservation, I didn't Qualify since they now require an income of $50,000. I feel they should have notified me.

I agree. The head supervisor at that company is very RUDE. When i talked to her about the calls, it seemed she could care less.

can someone that has bought one of these vacations tell me anything good???  If you attended the sales pitch, I would like to know how hard it is to tell them NO. Tell us the good and bad about the hotel and other parts of the vacation the caller tells you about.

You know its wild, I've worked for this comp for almost three years now. At first i worked for a crook Dennis Dodd but our owner now cares about our customers.He Payed almost 50k last year to make sure that people that didnt meet the resort qual. could still travel thats his money. Second we brang 10000 familys to branson last year 10000. And only a few complaints im sorry but everyone knows you cant keep everyone happy we try beleave me we try. To you that are upset im sorry we do our best. I dont own the comp but i know that we all feel the same at the end of the day we do this to save people money and if we save enough people money getting something they can use and want we make money too. And you better beleave i dont take the first no and let you go, if i did i would never make money,and you would'nt get a affordable getaway. You wil thank me after you see how much money you save

I have used this company and we were extremely dissapointed with our vacation.  The hotel had an outdoor pool only, which is not what we were told.  The wonderful breakfast deal at the Dockers restaurant was the same price as other people got.  They told us we would have this wonderful breakfast buffet at a fraction of what other people had to pay.  They said we were VIP guests of Ozark Mountain Vacation Services.  Well that meant we paid what every other visitor to Branson paid.  It was better to use the free coupon we had.  I will say that the breakfast buffet was very good and my son ate his fair share.  We had bad seats at our show, The Haygoods.  It was an amazing show, but I wish we would have just paid a bit more money to actually see it.  Don't kid yourself about the "fabulous presentation"!  My husband almost got in a fist fight with the rude salesman we had.  I have done other packages with these presentations and had excellent experiences.  We love visiting Branson and figured for their cheap price it would be fun.  It was not fun and I do not reccomend it.  This company lies to you, then they lie to you, then they lie some more.  It appears their employees don't stay there very long.  The guy we purchased the package from was gone and everyone we talked to was always new.  I should have known when we asked to use their bathroom!!!  Very bad!  I am an advocate for taking advantages of these packages, but Ozark Mountain Vacation Services was the worst ever.  That pushy salesman accused my husband of not caring about his children because he didn't want to spend $10,000 on something we couldn't afford.  There are much better companies in Branson and don't let Ozark Mountain Vacation Services ruin your families trip to Branson. I agree.. I worked for them in cust service.. and the company has went thru alot of horrible changes.. they fired the best and put a new woman in there by the name of Dena... she is horrible n does not care about ne of there customers.. she got fired from a pst company for stealing from them.. this lady and alot of the management are addicts and are felons.. your credit card numbers are not safe with these people..I don't even believe that the owner even knows of this, considering he is never there, the "office mgr" never is working or taking calls she jus trails behind the floor manager , her boyfriend , and they stay behind locked doors.. so my guess is as good as yours as to whats going on..p[lz don't buy into a company that doesnt care about you guys at all...its sad cause Nantucket is a beautiful place n I believe tha owner is a good man.. jus has some un godly folks in there that are suckin him dry.. ..

Each company has their own DNC. You have to request to be put on the DNC of the company calling in order to be on it. There is no such thing as a National DNC. Also, if you request to be on the DNC and the rep does not immediately do so then actions are taken agains that rep. HR department listens to reps calls annually to make sure we honor that request by our customers.

I went on one of these trips with my wife and two kids. I have read a lot of complaints, but ultimately I got a great deal. I got 3 days and 2 nights with 4 open show tickets (originally 2 but since their were 4 of us the sales rep dipped into his commission to give us enough for the family), and 30$ towards our dinner at shorty smalls. After doing the math, I found that four soji show tickets for our seating would have been165$, 2 nights at the Howard Johnson would run near 140$, and of course the 30$ dinner. A 330$ value (not counting the discounts recieved from the guest coupon booklet) for 149$ I think I got a steal. It was worth the 2 hours I spent listening to the time share spiel, granted they didn't like that I didn't buy. I found that if you are respectful to them, they will generally do the same.

I spend more time helping customers resolve their problems than I do focusing on sales, and I am a sales rep. Unfortunately there is a lot of poor leadership and integrity on the floor, but ultimately there are some Godly people around. Myself being one of them, and I won't faulter my integrity for the sake of a sale or a manager pushing me to say something that is not true.

Ozark mountain vacation, Buzz marketing [what a moron name a llc after a type of telemarketing scam] and branson travel are indeed all the same company. They are under investigation for stealing leads from other companies [yes aja and judd 2 telemarketers who have thousands of leads they personally stole from other companies and kevin the operations manager who stole from blue green] and they are also under investigation for ignoring national dnc yes I mean thos dozens of faxes from many states attorney generals offices coming through denas office [who if I might add] fired a lot of workers and brought in everyone who had been fired from grand crowne. Did I mention denas contract with grand crowne was cancelled [she got fired] for stealing.

Number one yes there is a national dnc and all 3 of the companies owned by ozark mountain doignore oh and by the way that dnc button you use doesn't take them off the list it puts the number back in for recycle. Ozark mountain buzz and branson cruise and travel or travel whichever one they are using after the last lawsuit hope you all enjoy the lawsuit from bluegreen and the other companies for stealing leads and ignoring dnc lists. Oops almost forgot the lawsuit from dodd for the sale of ozark mountain .....which the new owners never fullfilled their end of the conntract
