they keep calling and won't leave a message.  annoying

this number calls my cell every hour, my number is on do not call list. I'm in Houston.

I've gotten two calls from these jerks so far today, three yesterday and days back in time.
I'm on the 'do not call' list for my number, so what gives?
I wonder if TracFone 'allows' junk callers to access their customers to add icing to their profit cake.
I never answer the phone when it is this #; I don't know if they leave a voicemail.

Verizon says it won't sell your number and maybe that's true.  However, it doesn't really matter what Verizon's policy is because anyone you call that uses another cell phone company - well you just gave your cell phone number to that company and that company may be selling numbers.

Cell phone companies make money by selling and also, as w/Verizon, you can block only 5 numbers for 90 days without charge - if you want to block up to 20 numbers permanently you can pay (boo!) a monthly fee. I block 5 and keep record and renew the block a day prior to the expiration. Problem is you need to remove the numbers, sign off then on again and add the numbers back to get your new 90 day expiration date. Hassle free - NOT.

My policy is to NEVER answer any call that doesn't call out a name in my address book (get a phone that speaks the callers name) - or a number I don't recognize as a friendly.  I'll return calls provided it's someone I want to talk to. The only time I go off this policy is when we have an emergency underway and I give those people my cell number and I'd expect calls from Drs. etc who wouldn't be in my address book. Otherwise I never give out my cell number to just anyone (Businesses always get just my home number- I say NO when they ask for an alternate number.

Repeat spammers numbers are listed in my contacts as "JUNK1", 2, 3 etc (can list 5 numbers per contact!) and I set those at NO RING.

Yes, it's a pain and maybe when they read these posts they laugh - but I'm still not answering their calls and I've heard they only get paid if someone picks up - so I laugh at their fruitless labor.

Also, it IS a major election season (seems it's ALWAYS an election season!).  I always vote - but I hate and won't answer political calls even from my preferred party or candidate.

I get the same thing.   uss on the caller ID.   I answered.  within a few seconds it click off.

This telephone number belongs to Pacific Telecom Communications Group.  They are a public utility who's business involves facilitating telemarketing calls, a possible violation of 16 C.F.R. §310.3(b) of the Federal Telemarketing Sales Rule.

These jerks incessantly call me on my cellphone.  I hope they die and may a diseased yak drop his cud in their cuff.

Trying to sell home security system. Contacted Do Not Call Registry.

Matt from Home Security.  Calls from different numbers.  I blocked & reported because I'm on the do not call list.

Calls come when I am on my way home, and in the middle of bad traffic.  Called other members of my family and asked for votes!!@!

Do Not Call takes your number and gives or sells to telemarketers.  Everyone is game DNC, whether paid or free receives money to hand out phone numbers!!!

This place has been calling my residence for the last two weeks..I get home and see their number   on my caller ID once again.  This is a place that i've never requested their services or needed them.  I was at home when the latest call came in and decided to answer it.  The gentleman talked about wanting to put a security sign in my yard. When I informed him that the residence of this number live in an apartment and I doubt I would be alllowed to display their sign, he hung up on me before I got to finish my sentence.  Sad that this business employed someone with no people skills.  NOT  A WAY TO GET ANYONE TO RECOMMEND ANYTHING BY THIS COMPANY.  This number is on the federal  DO NOT CALL LIST.  STOP CALLING.

The same number is making repeated calls to my cell - but after doing some research, I think it's possible to hold them accountable.  It's possible to sue them in small claims court for violating a federal  telephone consumer protection act...

The only trick is that you have to pretend to be interested in the pitch, patient and nice, in order to get the company name and address.  After you have that, you're all set.  Then you must tell them to stop calling and take you off their list.   If they call again, after that warning from you, they are in violation of the law.  

As I understand it, each successive call is a violation of law, and they are subject to a fine of $500 for EACH call.  So you have to keep a log of these calls.  It only costs $40 or $50 to file in small claims court, and it's easy to do.  If they called you five times after your warning, they would be subject to a fine of $2,500.  Apparently most companies settle out of court (by paying up) right before the hearing date.

I am going to try my luck and see what happens - it can't be worse than getting 6 calls a day from these guys!
