I received a second call on May 24, 2024 at 1:28 p.m. from the following number: 1-438-817-7876. They hung up when the answering machine came on. I redialed the number and the phone number from a landline that is operated by Iristel Inc. and comes from the city of Montreal, QC. I redialed the number and found that this number is not in service, therefore scammers!

Extremely annoying scam,  called 9 times in the last week

Some scammer I would imagine as they hung up when I asked what they want. Just blocked their number

Moi aussi arnaque mais étonnant on connaissait le nom de famille

Sans aucun doute, une arnaque. La dame avec un accent genre espagnol m'a demandé comment j'allais en utilisant le nom de famille de ma mère décédée. Sans rien dire d'autre, j'ai insisté pour demander qui était la personne demandée. La dame a fait semblant d'avoir un problème à m'entendre et elle a raccroché.

Lorsque le répondeur se met en marche là personne raccroche.

Ce numéro est celui d'un prétendu CABINET DE VOYANCE ...
Ils demandent à parler à la personne au nom duquel le numéro de téléphone est associé.
Habituellement, c'est une femme avec un accent tunisien, marocain ou autre du genre qui appelle.  Aujourd'hui, c'était un homme avec un accent semblable.
On a beau leur dire ne pas être interessé, ils continuent à parler et à insister.
On monte le ton et on leur dit de ne plus rappeler et on raccroche.
Ils vont rappeler ...

Called asked for me by name, spoke French, asked if he spoke English, he said no. I speak French and English knew it was a scam. Told him to call me when he can speak English.
