Called saying he was from basics finance either introduction or production, he was muffling this part. Asked what is it and he hung up. Knew my name. Is there a way to find out how they got my name and number?

Same number has been ringing me once every couple of weeks for the past month. I don't answer and they don't leave voicemail.

Called me at 8:50am. Woke me. I didn't answer. I'm in Ireland. Why is an English number calling me?? Have had 2 previous English numbers calling me the past 2 weeks.

Just off the phone with a guy who was very sure of himself until I deviated off his script.
He hung up on me when I asked him to repeat how he got my number.
He asked if I did online trading. He said his company were connected to trader, 500 and a few others, none of which sounded plausible.

Guess I'll get more information next time they ring 😉

I received a phone call just this morning at 9.15 am, I didn't answer. I am in Ireland so it is strange to have an English number is calling. This is the 4th phone call from an English numbers that I have received in the last two weeks and every phone call had a different number.

Exactly same scenario with me Siobhan. I blocked the other number now getting calls from this second one.

Have been calling me the last few days, refuse to answer just incase! 100% a scam call! Sick of being woken at 9am!!

I am getting the same calls and am in Ireland I have so far blocked 4 English numbers as when I answered the first unintentionally it has happened every few days since with different numbers. other numbers are 0044 203 8073733 and 0044 203 9361290 also 0044 203 6955786

Hey i got a call too and around twelve today from the same number and from United Kingdom ! Don’t answer it’s a scam number block it !!

Yeah got one too, I'm based in Ireland. Definitely a scam, commenting to bring the post up in Google if someone google's the number

Same here, Irish phone getting calls from an unknown UK number.

Just had this number calling me as well. Missed the call and glad I looked it up now instead of calling back. Will be blocking!

Me too (Ireland) - I rang it back from a blocked number landline just for the laugh.  The recorded message answers  "Thank you for calling us. We will call you at the earliest."  - Then it disconnects.  No identification of company or anything like that so I'd hazard a guess that it's suspicious.

Irish here too, have received a few calls over the last weeks. First time I've answered and immediately asked how he got my number to which he replied 'of course' and then hung up.

I believe it's a spoof number because there is a large gap between answering and the phone connecting, so I do believe it's a a spoof number and the scammers are dialing through some sort of exchange. Unfortunately there's no way to trace that original number
