    Today, call to my land-line at 09:39 Pacific.

    After I said "hello", a voice-response system was active.
    The offer was Whole Life Insurance to cover my final expenses (funeral, cremation, et cetera) to anybody between 40 & 80 years.
    Why not cover "over 80" people?

    I gave false information (wrong name, wrong ZIP-code, wrong age, wrong birth-date) and got transferred to a "product-specialist".  I ended the call.

    Caller-ID probably was spoofed to be Springfield, Illinois -- famous as the location of Homer and Marge Simpson.  :-)

    Sigh. While typing this, I got another scammer, offering "Home Warranty Program" to cover all my appliances.
