While it is wise to be skeptical of fraud calls and certainly smart to refrain from giving any personal information to ANY caller, it is also foolish to ignore a potential fraud alert.  Scammers win when they steal your information but they also win by throwing doubt on legitimate fraud calls.  Take the time to contact your bank using the number on your card, the published customer service or the online customer portal.  When you do so, ask to be connected to the fraud department.  Most banks and CC companies use third party fraud alert companies and many of those leave messages urging the customer to do just that: Call the number on your card.
