I did with a picture message which I haven't opened neither do I intend to

Got a text saying I received a pic msg with a link. Im not going to follow it.

Revived a picture message , don't intend on opening it though

i got these  tw***s ringing me ,i didnt answe ,so they sent me a photo txt message which i havnt opened ? unfortunately you "have" to open to delete ?

Got a message off this number 2, saying I've one pic message

Recieved messages multiple times from the number telling me i have a new picture message - they called me by a username i remember using a long time ago online, think i must have stupidly put my number on some account profile. Checked link, it's a dodgy spam website with scammy adcertising.

Too scared to open it. Surprised that there was a number this time as it usually just comes up as NewPhoto as the contact.
Have received these messages multiple times and want to know how these idiots got my name and number...

Sent me a text using my name. saying I have a photo msg.
When I tried to open it it took me to a link which I thought was tesco I stupidly filled in the form online &  recieved a text saying I'd signed upto some sms service which will cost me £4.50 a week. I went thru the cancellation process but I'm still getting texts  from this number 😡

contact your service provider / operator urgently for who is behind this number and to block it. are you getting sms from THIS number or from a five-digit #? if the latter, and ur in uk, check out the regulator's website PayphonePlus where you can input the # & they should have details on who is running it and taking your money, and how to complain. often refunds are not given but you should be able to STOP any more calls.

Regtel will sort that out for you. Can't remember their number or email address but I'm sure Google has it.

What makes you think the caller is in Ireland? The country code is for the U.K. which is regulated by Ofcom/ ICO. More chance of success? reporting to them. Although that might be wishful thinking.

They seem to be sending photo messages that are actually links to getting a fake Tesco voucher.

Accidentally clicked the link and then got sent to a "Tesco" scam but didn't take it any further. Hopefully I won't get a virus but will block the number. Used to have actual text messages where I had to click link to view image on old phone which is why I did it. If you have an iPhone then avoid this. On Vodafone network so don't know if this is an issue for anyone else on same network.

Got picture message today 20/6/16 not recognised by me. Haven't opened

I tried to call the number back to see if they could sort out my PPI as well. Sadly it didn't even ring.

Received a text message from this number on my mobile addressed to my wife using her first name only and saying there is a free picture message for her to view and giving a html link in the style of http://www.shortyyz.co/..as reported on 'www.phone numbers.ie' and other blogs. Guessed it was unsolicited or scam call so deleted the message. Worryingly, my mobile number is registered with my energy supplier, and various supermarkets etc so these lists are clearly not secure despite all the individual reassurances from these organisations!
