I don't receive actual text messages from this number but they are able to charge my account for incoming and outgoing messages.  I reported it to T-Mobile and had to block all text messages. Since I have an iPhone, I am now receiving via iMessage: 44-7537-410207 Unable to send message - Message blocking is active.

Does anyone know what is going on and how are they able to manipulate the service?

Please note, I don't fill-out any online surveys, contests, marketing, etc., etc.  I also do not text with anyone.

This number is the iMessage activation number. When you set up iMessage it sends a silent SMS to this number to try and activate your phone number and make sure your sim card matches the number you entered to iMessage.

Hope that explains it. It is a pain though as you will be charged

My daughter got eight of these on her bill. She has an iPhone 4s. There were four incoming and four outgoing, in pairs, over a couple of days, with about four minutes between the incoming and outgoing.

According to my telephone bill from Base.de here in Germany I have contacted the number #447537410257 on 31.01 although I do not know the person and have never had contact with same, however the EPlus Base have charged me for this call.  Why don't the telephone companies get active and find out who these scaam people are and meanwhile stop chaarging for these numbers.

It's ridiculous how wind mobile is charging me, when I told them that this number is fraud they didn't believe me. 447537410207

They charge me almost 5 dollar.
I hope the phone company do something about this.

Same number, iPhone 5C, numerous 5 cent charges from Wind Mobile over the last 2 months.

also charged for SMS to this number. AND charged for roaming! Is Apple to blame? iPhone 5S

I am from Slovakia, currently in USA and my provider charged me for sending sms to no. 447537410207, which I never did, but as I found it here, my iPhone5 did! How to stop it?!

If you are using an iPhone and has not turned off the Facetime or iMessage functions these numbers will appear and  they will be charged as an SMS.
To Turn off facetime please do either of the below:
Select Settings
Select Facetime
Turn Facetime to Off
Or
Select Settings
Select Phone
Turn Facetime to Off
To Turn off iMessage:
Select Settings
Select Messages
Turn iMessage to Off

The Numbers are different Apple iMessage & Apple FaceTime activation centers around the world. Most companies do not charge for it ( See details ) but shady Companies knowing this ( only under iPhone ) charge every international text several times.
If you BLOCK the number you WONT RECEIVE but YOU CAN SEND. So we must swallow the pain of paying.

Yes this fault is of Apple. This is to be clearly blamed to Apple. Switch off imessages.
