I don't have any dealings with this company and they call my cell phone daily.

Because they use a dialer. And it is Capitol One Auto Finance. They use several numbers.

Just so you know they will call you about someone ele's loan if you are put down as a reference.  I keep getting calls about my daughter's account.

I received a call from this number while at work. Since I don't give out my work number unless it's work related, it was very easy to figure out who gave them this number. While on business in the Houston, Katy area I'd rented a car from Hertz leaving them my business phone number with my first and last name, but without my middle initial. (only leave my middle initial for private financial matters.)  So CapitalOne called looking for my by the name I'd given Hertz in writing not knowing I use my middle initial with my financial institutions.

I have no financial dealings with CapitolOne and I've not had a car loan from my local bank in 10 years. Yes my car is that old and no I don't need a new one. So I would report them to the police if you've no connections to CapitalOne, which is what I plan to do.  You might consider the same. The number that called leaving me this was 469-241-7000. That'll be the next search.

I am tired of this telemarketing keep calling different numbers on to my cell number. Where are you federal/government supposed to be their jobs but now they are very lazy and let them eating our up.

This is capital one. If someone you know has a loan through them, and they listed you as a loan reference, they will call you trying to reach the person. The person with the loan authorizes them to call you if they have a late payment.

I just got the same call....try to call back ....want soc. number...wouldn't give and can't dial a "O" either
Could be a scam of some kind!

This might be a third-party calling for Capital One, as the number is listed on the website for "Lender Payoffs" http://www.autobulk.net/html/lendor_payoffs.html 

Someone that Capital One might have sold the note to? Not really sure.

I got a call from this number on my cell phone---I don't have a Capitol One Car Loan. I'm on a 'DO-NOT-CALL' list.

I just applied online thru Capital One to see if I could get an auto loan through them, so this is why they called me (within 10 min). I did not complete the loan but saw that I was approved for a good amount :)

I've gotten a call from this number several times in the past month. I never answer it and they never leave a voicemail..

Capitol One Auto Finance - left voicemail with a reference number and saying they were calling for someone who I have never heard of.  Possible scam.

Please be careful..... as of 04/01/14 these people are pretending to be Capital One.

Yeah this number called me today and when i called them back and i got some auto mated recording every time and i don't even know anybody from Plano, Texas.

Didn't answer call of unknown, then I called back, the "owner" had an automated response of NOT AVAILABLE, having just called me. BEWARE OF SCAMS!
