I just read all your posts. I got a call last night at 8:00 pm from this number. A very nice lady talked to me and said she was representing B.O.A. She was as pleasant as could be. Told me about this government program "in-lieu-of-deed. Walk away from home gracefully. Credit report is not as bad as foreclosure. etc.   You know when you get that little something that goes off in your head telling you something is not right! She told me they give you $3,000 to relocate etc. I told her to send me paperwork on it and she said "we  don't send out paper work, you go on internet and look up program"  she said if I did want to do this program, all I had to do was call back, and they would record my conversation for verification oking the transaction. Right. I am glad I punched in this number, I have been working on modification for a long time now. What a scam!! This isn't the first called I have received. I never know now if I am talking to B.O.A. or not! Pretty sad!

The number is the Bank of America collections department for delinquent mortgage payments.  They were offering a Deed in Lieu of Foreclosure

So this company has started calling my house too, said they are working with Bank of America, I didn't believe them and told them to stop calling my house.  They were asking for personal information, agreement to record conversation to "start process" and wanted me to confirm that I wanted to start "deed in lieu" process.  I am very leary of them, told them not to call again and they called back today!  I think now is the time to get rid of the home phone and only use my cell!

BEWARE.  This company called me for the first time last weekend.  They represented themselves as calling on behalf of Bank of America and wanted me to 'confirm my address before they could speak to me'.  I told them, they had called me, not the other way around.  Told them it was they who needed to provide me some specific information to confirm they were who they said they were.  They didn't like that a bit and tried to argue that they 'couldn't help me until I confirmed my address'.  I repeated myself at which point they hung up.  Now each day I come home from work and there's their caller id on the phone but no message.  I've already caught a few of these attempted back-door deed thieves.  Be careful people and tell them NOTHING, demand everything in writing and confirm every piece of information, contact name, numbers, etc.  Be diligent and and leave nothing to chance.

And I should add that my mortgage is current!  The only thing I did was try to get a loan mod through BOA about a year ago ... which I was denied.

Never missed a payment.  Yet, they're still calling, trying to get my deed.

These people are calling to try and buy your mortgage (short sale) These people are not there to help you. They are in a position to profit from your misfortune. You are better off staying in the house not making payments until the last possible moment. I bet you get 18 months at least rent free.

They are REDC Default Solutions.  They contract with banks - calling their clients who are near foreclosure to try to press them into a short sale.  http://redcdefaultsolutions.com

Please take the time to read carefully... RDS / Real Estate Disposition Corp / REDC Default Solutions is an Auction Company.  They do not have any contracts with BofA until you send them paperwork.  They are a scam, you are much better off going through an attorney or a reputable company to do Deed in Lieu, Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, whatever.  BofA is already in some hot water with the US Gov't because they received bailout funds and they are now being investigated.  Secondly, BofA doesn't know what the right hand is doing vs what the left hand is doing.  Take the moment to do your own online search of one of those 3 companies and you will see that they are hokey pokey.  If you still aren't satisfied, you can contact BofA (good luck getting a person who knows what they are talking about!) and they will let you know they are not contracted with BofA until you do all the legwork / paperwork and send it to RDS.  Check with your state district attorney's website, Fannie Mae, BofA, there is no mention of RDS or its subsidiaries doing business with them.  Lastly, did you notice they identify themselves as a debt collector?  In my case, I filed bankruptcy, my house is included in it and I have the court paperwork from the discharge stating they don't have the right to contact me, my attorney already said, BofA will give you 30 days notice to move out, that could be 2 or more years down the road.

Talked to BofA regarding the cohersive and harrassing phone calls from these people.  Yes, they do work with REDC Default Solutions / Real Estate Disposition Corp / RDS, BUT, unless you receive a letter from BOFA stating they authorized that company to do business with you, do not, as they are an UNAUTHORIZED 3RD PARTY.  The letters we received were from those companies stating they were authorized when in fact they were not.  They are a nightmare and they don't want to listen to anything you try to tell them.  They want you to go to a government website and pull forms to fill out and send them, any normal lender would provide those documents.  They have called my family members demanding information when they have no legal right to do so.  Take 15 minutes of time and look up information about these people before you attempt to conduct business with them.  They are a true scam, in every sense of the meaning.

They also call from a 469-277-7706, caller id is Advanced Lipo, actually is REDC calling trying to get you to do business with them and saying you agreed to them helping you, when in fact, we most certainly did not and they can't do anything once you have been discharged from Bankruptcy.  Had to make sure I explained that we DID NOT AUTHORIZE THEM TO DO ANYTHING and BOFA told us not to do business with them as they are an UNAUTHORIZED THIRD PARTY.  I had to repeatedly say NO NO NO NO NO NO to this woman to get her to hang up.  This has been going on for 3 weeks and if it continues I am contacting my local tv station who just did a similar report on another company by the name of RPS in Orlando.  Or, I will contact the state attorney's office and see where we go.  I'm not a sue happy person, but dang, they just won't quit!

I have talked to this company twice now, once on 10-5-11 and asked them to remove me from their list, I don't have a mortgage with Bof A.  The lady said she would remove me.  They just called again, 10-18-11, asked again for them to remove me, no loan with BofA, lady said all she can tell me is to disregard the call, can't remove me, I need to contact Bof A, that is where they got my name.  I told her to stop calling me or I will report them.

I just got two calls from this number "Real Estate Dis". I didn't pick up the first call because I didn't recognize the number and figured it was a telemarketer. Then literally two minutes later they called again so I picked it up because I wasn't about to be harrassed all night. She asked for my brother (who does not live in our house, has never lived in our house and has a different last name from us) and I simply told her that she had the wrong number. She thanked me and hung up. They have also been calling my parents' house looking for my brother even though he hasn't lived with them for over 20 years. They did get very nasty with my parents though for information. My brother had a property in foreclosure with BOA but it was discharged in bankruptcy over a year ago.

If you are being harassed by a debt collector with repeated calls to your home phone, hangups, calls to relatives and neighbors, or threats of garnishment, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)  provides a remedy to get control of the situation.  Once you have an attorney representing you, the debt collectors cannot legally contact you any more about the debt.  Your attorney can also sue on your behalf to get you compensation.
