    my daughter got a call that she owed on a ring she had bought and owed $30K, but they'd settle for $1K. she did buy a ring but for less than $1K, and said she didn't get any letter previously, tho the called said they sent it. sounds very fishy to me. Miller and Associates at 470-348-3197 is who contacted her. anyone with similar calls?

    It's a scam - unless your daughter cops to spending 30K on a ring. Besides, why would they settle for 1K? Makes no sense. The would not be groveling for a pittance, they would be talking legal steps. Don't call back, block the number.
