View the first link and be happy to know that POSSIBLY this will end these pre-recorded calls. It seems the callers do not care if a number is listed on the DNC list and all of these companies/individuals working illegally to try to scam people will likely continue, but it seems there should be some way to trace these call from their original source and prosecute to the fullest extent that the law would allow including imposing huge fines on repeat offenders. Please use your power by going to the FCC website and register a complaint every time you get one of the calls. This is the only reason legislation has been passed regarding the pre-recorded messages...because enough people COMPLAINED directly to the FCC or FTC. See the second link below to the FCC website. Get as many details as you can regarding the call...caller I.D. info, time of day, get the name of the person you speak to, a call back number if possible, the name of the business, a business address and all details of the call. A company that is conducting legitimate business by law has to provide all of the above mentioned. If they do not, then they are not legitimate.

These guys call businesses which are not on the consumer DNC list.  You can have yourself removed from thier contact list.  There is a link on the website for doing it.  If they are contacting your home number or cell number then it must have been in the yellow pages at some point.

In the meantime, since they do 28MM page views according to Alexa, maybe there is good value for businesses.

Just recieved a call from Merchant Circle again! The pre-recorded message this time says they have video of our company working and to view it all we have to do is go to their wesite and put our phone number in the box! This is new - normally these annoying pre-recorded people just say someone inquired about our company - now they have progressed into taking videos. Needless to say I have not gone to the site to see if it is true or not.

Another SCAM.  Reported it to the FCC website as I do will all of these.  Its the only way this kind of crap will stop

this company has called many times usually with a recording telling us a 'good review' of our company had been left on their website; today we were informed there was a video of our 'service' online; what's the procedure to get them to stop calling us!!!!

This number called me at 8:37 P.M. Said they had a video of my business. I could go to merchantcircle.c0M and enter my phone number to view the video.

I hate that crap.

The caller just stays on the line without a response or comment.

If one calls the number and listens after they ask you to hang up one will then be given an option to have the call blocked.  That process takes 24 hours.

Please make a complaint to the (FTC) Federal Trade Commission. You can look them up on the white pages.

We are recieving calls from this person and phone # as well. 1st, add your number to the 'do not call registery', it will take 30days for it to activate. If you are already registered, you can make a complaint at the same website. I have made two complaints and am still get calls. But, I see no other way at this time to do anything about it. Hopefully, with enough complaints, someone will find these people and stop them.

I am on the no call list and still get calls.  And we are not a "business", we are a church!  We do not have a website, so how can people say that they saw our website???

What kind of scam is this - are they selling this phone list????

Sick and wrong - wish someone would come up with a "go to this web site and help us SPAM phone lines at Merchant Circle DOT com!!! Now that would be justice, hehehe!

These guys robocall me on my 800 number...so they're running up MY BILL to advertise to me! I"d like them to also "curl up and die". I think they're cowards and pigs not to have a contact to have them stop calling on my dime...
