I wonder if they are calling to see which numbers answer, so they can then sell your number as a valid phone number.

Called today - added to auto reject - done.

No answer

received call from 480-662-1844. when I answered, no one was there..

Picked up phone.  No answer, then disconnected.  Called back the number.  Got the recorded Verizon message.

Got a call at 7:45. Disconnected the call. No voicemail.

Got call few minutes ago person hang up, called back number not i service.

Called me 10 minutes ago and when I answered got  a pre recorded message that I won a cruise to Bahamas and I promptly Hung up

This number rang me while I was talking to a neighbor at 9:15am. I didn't answer and no message was left. I see it is probably a scam. Thank you everyone for noting your experiences. The number is now blocked from my phone.

Received a call from 480-662-1844 and answered it. The caller disconnected a few seconds later. Nothing but dead silence on the other end. I called Verizon and registered a complaint and let them know about this happening to a multitude of people.  I did find out that this is a pre-paid cell phone number.

Got call from this number in Phoenix at 11:54am on April 11th, 2015. Did not answer. No message left.

Spoofed Numbers: Caution, 480-662-1844 is a "spoofed" number, which means that whoever called you "tricked" your caller ID to display an incorrect phone number. Telemarketers do this so you cannot complain, but they failed... you can still file a complaint here to fight back against unethical telemarketers.

Just called me at 9:15 am, didn't answer, no voicemail. Glad I didn't answer now hahahaha

Just received a call from this number. After reading these posts I just called it back. Just like others said, "It's a Verizon recording, the number has been changed or is no longer in service."

Recorded message that started once it heard my voice.  All I heard is that they wanted to reward me for being a valued customer.  No idea who this was.  It's one thing to get calls of this type on my land line but when it starts on my cell phone, I get livid.  And yes, I have both phones registered with the Do Not Call Reigistry.....which doesn't work.

After reading the post above mine, I also called the number and got the same message.....Said it was Verizon Wireless and the number has been changed etc etc etc

Receive 2 calls from this number when I pick up no one on the line
