Got a call that had caller ID of "Chase" and the real phone number of a local Chase branch (480) 970-7155 (4809707155). Claimed that someone had opened a Chase checking acct in my name and address, but from an IP address in Brooklyn NYC, and then tried to run Zelle transactions against it. Name given was "Franklin Hayes, employee ID JPM077620". He then transferred me "to Zelle Fraud desk" but I accidentally dropped that call. "Franklin" called me right back, I said I was out running errands and needed to get home to my PC.

I called the Chase branch at their published # and they said I was the 3rd person today to call about this tactic.  So, WARNING - the scammers "Spoofed" the caller ID, pretended to be "Chase", but the guy's approach was really great social engineering and I rode along longer than I should have, but gave up no additional info.  The actual Zelle fraud line had no record of the "case numbers" and such that Franklin read off to me. BEWARE.
