It's just a generic number for people calling from inside the Providence system.  My sister works at one of the hospitals and this is the number that shows up when she calls me.

Got multiple calls from this number within four minutes while I was on the phone with another call.  No message left.  Won't answer that number, wondering why they tried to call while I was on the phone?

This is funny. I got a call from this number at 9:20 PM on 02/20/2011. Missed before I could pickup, no message.

I was a reminder call of an appt. I had @ Providence Sherwood the next day.

It was the doctors office for Providence.  Rescheduling apts.

This phone number is for Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Southwest Portland. It was the doctors office calling to confirm my 4pm appointment for tomorrow.

I got a call on my cell from this number. I answered and there were electronic beeps about a second apart. I hung up and they called back. I let it go to voicemail and then received a 26 second voicemail with the beeps.

This is Providence/St. Vincent Hospital's automated fax machine. You have to call them at 503-216-2092 and select the operator then ask for the IT department and tell the IT department your number so they can block the number in their system.
We have had this happen a number of times at the business I work for so as a warning don't expect it to automatically never happen again.

This number called me twice this morning, asked for "[***]" until I using up. It's a hospital number?

This number is from St. Vincent Hospital's surgical unit. They called me because my daughter has a surgery scheduled there.

I keep getting calls from this number that appears from the messages to be a fax number.  I'm getting very tired of it.  One of the calls was 2AM that woke both my husband and I up

This number is a Providence Health & Services outbound phone line.  It registers on your phone any time your doctor office or any other Providence clinic or facility is calling.  It may be an appointment reminder, lab results, general message from your provider, etc.  If your answering message does not identify you and Providence does not have a signed release from you allowing Providence to leave a voice message, the caller will hang up.  

St. Vincent Heart Rhythm Specialists.  I had prior contact with them, I disliked how they conducted their business.  Now they are trying to call me after I declined their services.

Received a call that I ignored, and a second call immediately after.  No message left.  Called number back and it was a generic Providence number.  Maybe have been about scheduling an appointment, but wont know until I can get through on the number I have for them.

this person on this number claimed she got a call from me. I asked her who is she she said I am blocking you. I don't even know that number and why does she have my number. I found out after calling this number it was providence.
