I have recieved a phone call from this number before but never answered.  Today at work, I answered and listened to some b.s. about my car warrenty.  So I wanted to get to the bottom of the issue and pressed the number to speak to a representative.  Once I got on with the guy, it was hard to understand him.  I asked him why they are calling me, and he had no answers.  So to conclude, this is a total scam... I wish I knew where those SOB's were so I could go give them a good ol' kick in the rear.

If you google the number, it comes up as a home phone number for two seperate people in seperate cities in Oregon.  I get these types of calls once week because I bought a new vehicle last October.  I never answer them, they never leave messages.  Anyone know if there is a way to get them to stop calling?

Get on the Federal Do Not Call list...then you can threaten them and they won't call back.

had a call from them on my cel ... called back and a recording said not a working number ... googled it and it says it is for two separate people in oregon and also found this page ... too bad we can't ALL call them to ask if they like unsolicited calls!

It has gotten so bad I google EVERY unknown number instead of answering. And here I am again.

There has got to be a way to stop this BS.

Evidently they can use whatever # they want on caller ID, and use disconnected ones.  Is there anyone harmed by this?!?

Other # threads post threats to the people that the #'s belonged to before....ouch!

I just receieved a missed call from this number today. I searched it and it says that the owner of this phone lives in NW Oregon. I used to live in the SW area. I tried calling it back and it was disconnected (as one of the comments mentioned). How did they get my number and why are they calling me?

I received a call from this number about 9:00 p.m.; didn't recognize the name or number (on my caller I.D.) and so did not pick up.  No message left.  I am not surprised to learn that it was yet another call from the auto warranty scam "industry" as I have been contacted from more than twenty different numbers related to it over the past few months as well as (more recently) several other numbers that were suspicious.  It seems that the scammers are now trying to disguise their activities by using numbers that once belonged  to ordinary citizens, some of whom can be identified by Googling the numbers themselves. I have seen posts from several individuals on the "Do Not Call" list who are still getting messages from these people.

Do you want to strike back at these scamming telemarketers?! I may have found a weakness, a [***] in their armor! I too, have been getting these recorded "2nd notices", and "final" notices for the past 9 months to a year, saying that my automobile warranty is about to expire. I tried numerous times to "press 2" to be taken off of their list, to no avail. I have received these messages on my (non-published) home phone, as well as on my cellphone. The calls have originated from many different numbers in many different states. It's obvious that they change the numbers that they're calling from frequently. From searches on the internet, I've seen where the Missouri Attorney General has started some legal proceedings against some of them, for trying to scare people into buying warranties that they don't need.
Yesterday afternoon, I received another such call, this one from 503-241-6090. A reverse search produced 2 results, as mentioned by someone earlier, with the names of 2 different women in Portland, OR. As was stated earlier, if you try to call the number back, it appears that the number has been disconnected...OR HAS IT!!? Looking at it logically, I thought that this made no sense. So I decided to call the number back myself yesterday evening from my cellphone, going on the theory that this message is not from the phone company at all, but is supplied by the scammer himself! The phone RANG ONCE before the standard "the number that you are dialing is not in operation" bit came on, and the message itself sounded indistinct and muffled. THIS NUMBER IS IN OPERATION!! THE SCAMMER HAS THIS MESSAGE RECORDED AS THE GREETING ON HIS OR HER VOICEMAIL/ANSWERING MACHINE, TO GIVE THE APPEARANCE THAT YOU HAVE DIALED A NON-WORKING NUMBER! I remained on the line, listening to the message repeat itself over and over again for one minute and 3 seconds, until finally, they must have gotten sick of hearing it themself (or their voicemail or answering machine may be programmed to hang up after one minute), and they finally hung up on me. My cellphone showed that I was connected to this number the entire time, and a record of that 1 minute and 3 second call was left on my cellphone as evidence that this is, indeed, a working number. Here is my plan:
If, everytime someone gets one of these calls (and even moreso, if EVERYONE DOES THIS, and maybe even gets all of their friends, relatives and neighbors to join in), using our cellphones (assuming that our cellphone accounts permit free long-distance calling), maybe we can drive these perpetrators just crazy enough with our calls back to them, (and them having to listen to their "non-working number" message play over and over again), that they'll decide to find a new line of work, and stop this illegal activity. (Calling someone repeatedly, and then refusing to divulge exactly who you are, or what business you represent is very much illegal, so we're already dealing with crooks here). For myself, I plan to call every one of these numbers back, as often and as many times as possible, until they either answer the phone and tell me who they are, or give up their shady business! If WE ALL DO THE SAME THING TOGETHER, maybe we can get on THEIR nerves for a change, so badly that they'll HAVE to give it up. After all, there's no law against returning a phone call, to someone who has called you!!

    Who's with me!?

Received another call from 503-241-6090.  I have asked to be removed from their call list 3 times now.  The calls still keep coming.  They are selling extended auto warranties.  Very annoying.

Just got a call from them too. Thought it was a friend of mine and answered. I kept asking what company this is and barely got an answer...Warranty Services. Tried Googling it and got nothing. Same as above from everyone else. Didnt see anywhere else in here, but they mentioned the company can be found in the Better Business Bureau, I think some looking around might turn up more, worth a shot.
