Anyone familiar with 503-465-7263? A friend of mine has been receiving text messages threatening to cut off their Metro by T-Mobile service for not returning an old phone that was replaced under warranty, after being told by Metro's customer service and the clerk that processed the transaction at the Metro store, that they could keep the old phone. The messages are also telling them that they are being charged $349.99 for the new phone, when it's clearly priced $209 at another location.

When trying to call the number, it goes to a generic voice mail message that DOES NOT identify the company or phone user, nor does identifying information come up on the caller ID.

Any insights appreciated...

Sounds like a scam. For one thing, that sure does not look like business number does it? A quick web search suggests this is private number, not a business. Also sus is that you get a call but never got any US mail or email about this. The voicemail message you heard is a Red Flag too; businesses want you to know who is asking for money.

Why not call Metro/Tmobile and see if they have been trying to reach you and if you owe any money?
