No, it's really a market research comany. They're completely legit and pretty friendly. I've done two different studies for them.

Market Decisions Corporation in Portland, Oregon is entirely legitimate market research company. If you're getting a call from them, it's probably because you put yourself in their database.

I'm not a :fake person" as someone indicated of a previous commenter.  This is a paying focus group.  FWIW

This is a real mkt research company. Comments from fools who might claim I am 'with them', if any follow,  are deranged and paranoid, though it's good to be skeptical, but cyber libel I would and have drawn the line at. Today I just interviewed for a locally-based focus group. I had applied. Not sure was accepted as was in part of their demographics filled but its pending a last minute call for a time I consider convenient, if someone cancels from that demographic, re a high tech device.

The reason I came here on THIS call is that I wanted to be sure if it's THEIR number vs someone's they's hired to fill quotas, as there's little room left on my phone address book

Yes - this is MDC Research. They conduct paid focus groups. Totally legit!

I can't attest as to whether Deb is a real person but I can say that I have participated in several studies with MDC research and they have always been great and paid well.  The studies have been exactly what they described ahead of time and they cut a check immediately upon survey completion.  Depending on the type of study the pay has ranged from $25-$75/ hr which isn't bad for the majority of us.  They do have to ask a lot of personal questions to determine whether you qualify for the study, usually bc the companies paying for the research want the opinions of a certain demographic.  They can't reveal the details of the study until you qualify, so I could see how this would make some people suspicious.  If you're interested in making some extra cash through market research participation I would highly recommend this company as it is the only one that has worked out for me.  Otherwise just ask to be removed from the calling list.

Yeah, it's a market research company. I got paid 100 bucks for two hours talking about cell phone user interfaces. They had free Jimmy Johns sandwiches too. It was pretty cool.

I get a call from this or a similar number EVERY SINGLE DAY. I have never answered it, but like others have said, if you call it back, you get a recorded message about surveys. They've been calling daily for months now. Not sure what to do.

This is a call from a company called MDC Research.  They say its a survey. I do not want to do a survey I said.  They have called me three times this month.  So here is what you do.  Call there company headquarters in Oregon 1-800-344-8725.  Tell them that every time you get a call, you are calling there HQ, then hang up.  See if they like that... They will get so many calls they will have to change the number, and that will effect their business.  The company is located at 8959 sw barbur blvd #204 Portland OR 97219.  Case you want to write them some mail.  Stop the unsolicited surveys!

Was getting calls daily from this number, didn't answer and no voicemail message was left.  Blocked the number.  VOILA!!
