The caller did not provide an identity for himself or company. He said they had received a message that indicates my computer was in danger from virus infection. He asked me to find the C.T.R.L. button, and I interrupted his spiel. He spoke with a heavy Asian-Indian accent, and his script indicated that he had little computer familiarity.

SCAM!!!
Got the call one night at 8pm. Says he is trying to help me. Hackers are using my windows 8 computer. He says he is from windows help IT. I played along and it seems he was trying to get me to do some commands on my computer. Probably so he can actually hack me.He also gave me some bogus windows id number saying that was my windows number. This wrong number will probably string you along to give him the real one. His name was Adam Smith lol with a strong Pakistani accent. I called microsoft to verify it was a scam. Not that i needed too. Lol. Just though MS would like to know. MS says we only call you if you called us.

something about a computer i didn`t understand him

They keep calling saying that my computer is in danger.  I just hang up on him.  Is there a way to stop this??

Received a call around 850pm about my computer having been hacked.  Didn't believe him and hung up.

A woman named Lisa called saying she was from Microsoft's IT help desk.  She knew my name and said that there was a problem with my computer.  She claimed that people were using Twitter, Facebook and some other websites without my permission and mentioned that she had my licensing number.  Lisa insisted that I go to my computer and she would walk me through the problem.  I refused, told her I was too busy and would call her back (I  had no intention to return call).  I also asked how do I know that your not a scam.  Lisa gave me her so called direct line, 760- 933-1530, and the instruction to ask for her.
Needless to say, Lisa and her fellow scammers will not be getting a call back.
