This number keeps calling me an hour after i go to sleep. I'm gonna bust them up...

Call from Washington State University trying to reach parents of alumni, supposedly to update records.  I am not an alumni of WSU, although my late wife was. The caller left a message to call 509-335-2215 for an Eric Billings if anyone has a question about this.

It's Washington State University trying to raise money. I'm on their list because I made a donation 15 YEARS ago.

If you wish not to be called during certain hours or at all, you need to actually pick up the phone and communicate that. The students have STRICT requirements and procedure to follow. They contact alumni, parents of current and past students, as well as anyone who has donated to the school or the Vet clinic. They also call vet clinic clients to donate only to the vet med clinic. Please keep in mind that these are students who are working their way through college. They are raising money for their school to support scholarships, the arts, different educational programs (the business school, communications, vet med, etc), as well as student organization funding. 100% of your donation goes DIRECTLY to the program YOU want it to.

They call at least once a week. Now they should pay ME.

I have told them to quit calling me and they are still doing it. I'm a resident of Pullman and planning on filing harassment charges if they don't quit.

They just want money - dont answer it

On what planet is it acceptable to call some one close to 9 p.m. to ask for money?! Ef you guys. Glad you are working for your college education that will land you a job at walmart! Let me pay off student loans before you harass me again!!!

I got a call last night from this number at 10:30 pm!  I live on the east coast and was already in bed.  I guess a university education does not provide for figuring out time zones.  I would really appreciate not being called so late.

This person just called me and said my name as if she knew me. Said she was sophomore in high school.

WSU has a $777 Million endowment.    The President makes over $600,000/year.    Their professors make between $100K and $250K per year all with full benefits and retirements.    Many of them team a couple classes a semester and do very little research.    Why are they asking us for money ?    Tell the caller this information and tell them it is time for them to protest these reasons for the high cost of education.

I donate pretty much every time they get a hold of me, so I only get a call every 6 months. I know it's annoying when you get the calls while paying off loans/looking for a job shortly after graduation, but if you can throw them a few bucks, do it. I really value the education I received there and feel great about giving back. So, give them ten dollars. 1. It's for a good cause. 2. You'll make the student who is calling you very happy. 3.They won't call you again for six months. 4.GO COUGS!

C'mon folks.....let's help ourselves here.  Now that we all have smart phones and have our known contacts programmed, why do some of you still feel the need to answer and find out who the mystery caller is ?!?!?  OF COURSE ITS A SCAM....SHOCKING.  We've all read enough of these threads, me included, to know better by now. Let's stop feeding them.  Do yourself a favor;  let the call ring out, create a 'SCAM' entry in your contacts, and add calls like this to that ever growing list.  The alternative is to keep answering them, building THEIR call list, and keep reading mindless thread sheets about the epidemic....

I set my phone to go to Do Not Disturb at the times i dont want to be bothered. Once I figure out who's calling me I call them back and ask them to put me on their do not call list. Most political, charities, etc. will honor your request. Please don't give them a hard time, most of these WSU telephoners are either kids trying to make a few bucks while they attend school (they've gotta eat and drink!], or volunteering their time for a.cause they believe in.
