Same experience yesterday from 510-295-4986.  Really scared me for a few minutes until I heard the $1800 and knew it had to be a scam.  Check this publication from the real DEA: http://www.deadiversion.usdoj.gov/pubs/pressreleases/extortion_scam.htm

Apparently this scam has been going on for months using different numbers.  When I called the DEA Public Assistance number, they said they have a whole unit working on this scam and they really didn't need my report.

i received a call from a javier from a number in philadeliphia number is 215-486-2044 ext 2011 telling me because i purchased online meds 7 years ago once after death of family member, that i had to send 4000.00 or i would be arrested and put in jail i was frantic and my sister is the one that found all this information and as soon as my father yelling in backgroun im getting a lawyer he hung up and havent heard from him since, now i know this is illegal never again and in fact they kept calling me for more meds  my sister got on the phone and told them the call was being taped and she was going to the dea with it back then he called her nasty names and hung up    please dont send money  i called my local dea office and he said its bogus and dea does not work like that if there was an issue you are entitled to a juduciary process never send money
