The area code is from Oakland/East Bay of the San Francisco Bay Area.- Caller: Unknown
- Cindy HolstThis is a scam and when I get to talk to someone and question them as to why they are calling me and what specific credit card they are calling me about, they get angry and hang up on me.
What kind of company is this? I also called back to stop calling my number to opt out of their calling system and it doesn't stop them from calling back.
This is very frustrating. - Adam Baum replies to SGALL telemarketers, both here and abroad should be water-boarded to find out who their bosses are. Once they give it up or drown, they should be deported. Then their bosses should be water-boarded to determine where their automated dialers are located and where their call centers are housed. Both their automated dialers and call centers should then be the target of droan attacks, for these telemarketers and their enablers have terrorized us in our homes using our telephones as their marketing devices for far too long. The government efforts through national and state do-not-call registration efforts are no more or no less effective than the war on terror generally. ALL telemarketers and their enablers are the down-and-out bottom-feeders of our society who prey on innocent citizens to scam and sham, defraud and steal our money and identities. ALL telemarketers have criminal intent. To you folks behind 510-699-9231. It may take another decade and the minds of Navy SEALS, but we will hunt you down and destroy your operations. We will use every law and statute possible to fine you severely and incarcerate you whenever possible. ALL telemarketers, we will find you and stop you. For you inflict terror, grief, anger and fear where ever you attack. Your weapon is the telephone. Your goal: cheat us, steal from us, annoy us, frustrate us, make us miserable just so you can chisel out an existence. We will wipe you out like the bad disease you are.
- fahlalalaIt is a scam. "Do not call list" does not work on crooks. Spoofed numbers anyway. Call the FTC 877-382-4357 to report it. They are actively pursuing such scammers. Note how many times they called, details, keep the number assigned to your case. Every time I do this the calls stop from a set of numbers. I collect the next ones that show up. Re-report. Number of such calls is way down. I was getting 6-10 a day. Now down to couple a week at four week intervals.
- Miss SallyThis is a scam to convince people, maybe seniors, that their credit cards have problems. It is actually trying to solicit information for another card.
I don't know how these kinds of "businesspeople" can stay out of the slammer for so long, but my hope is that someone eventually catches up to this and stops them. This is clearly a predatory form of advertising and some of the more vulnerable people in society will fall for it, and that is clearly the objective of this company- Caller: unknown
- thecloserThe do not call list. You act like its this magical shield that pops up when salesperson calls. The moment you gave your number to them the list was void because you gave them full permission to call over and over again. Best thing to do answer it don't be rude listen to them.
Then tell them you love to help but your foreclosen or your home and in the middle of a bk chapter 7.
They will remove because they see they can't do nothing with you. You have to be nice women crying helps. They'll stop. - Jayla replies to RonI've started doing something similar " Simpson, Burns, Wiggim Law offices how may I direct your call?"
I actually use a different name but you get the point. I've also copied an MP3 file to my computer that plays the 3 familiar tones followed by "We're sorry but your number cannot be completed..." http://www.payphone-directory.org/sounds.html is the link. The calls have dropped drastically but I still get a few from other numbers. I used to report 3 or 4 calls daily Monday through Saturday to the DNC list and now they're down to about 3 a month. Still annoying. - HLD12The best thing you can do is report them to the DNC list. It only takes a few minutes.
- Jon replies to AnonymousIt's a credit card company scam trying to get you to switch for a lower interest rate. If one waits long enough a recording comes on. One can switch to a live agent or remove oneself from their list.
- Phone Fraud| 1 replyThe reason a large portion of the people are having trouble with this number is because this number is being "Spoofed" by Delta Outsource Group, a collection agency located in O'Fallon, MO. They will try and gather enough information to create an account. Many bank accounts have been drained by this establishment and many "Spoofed" phone numbers have been fraudulently used to aquire information.
This not only hurts people by the harrassment, but also hurts the establishment that the number belongs to.
Note: Insight Services is affiliated with Delta Outsource Group.- Caller: Delta Outsource Group
- Call type: Debt collector
- bounceTime is money. These scammers play a numbers game. The more calls they make the higher the odds of actually hooking someone.
If you have a few minutes get to a live operator and spend as much time as possible listening to their sales pitch, when they ask for information feed them false information; tell them the very long story about aunt Martha who's on a fixed income and could really use their help, offer to bring her to their office to meet in person; tell them the funny story about how people think your 5'5" when your actually 5'4" and on and on and on. The more time you keep them on the phone the less productive they are.
Don't get angry, get even! - Pennsylvania Pal replies to GeekinTexasThey called me the same way. Sometimes I get up to 3 calls a day. Our attorney generals office was no help, other than tho try to put me on PA's DO NOT CALL LIST, but they did say to try to get a name from them. When I *69 back and got their number I called. If you ignore the "Do not call" prompt they give you, some times a recording will come on where part of the message is cut off but they are Some thing Something Marketing service. I am going to try to call them back again and get a name. I have filed a complaint with the FTC. I started with the FCC, but they said that because they are trying to get your credit card numbers it is fraud and the FTC has to go after them. That number is 1 877-382-4357. Maybe someone out there can get a name on them.
- Pennsylvania Pal replies to Phone FraudThanks for letting me know that information. I will file it with the Attorney Generals office here.
- Del HollowellWe do not know why anyone would call from this number. We are on the do not call list. Reported. They did not speak to us.
- Caller: Unknown,
- fed up replies to SGHave told them to take me off ther list; no good. Have made several complaints to FCC; no action. Have contacted political representatives; no action. I'll bet every congressmans phone is on their do not call list!!
- yogi replies to SGThere is, in fact, several very physical lists, as well as every list in .pdf, .csv and every other normal format. They are available free of charge from the fed gov't.
SInce you are a telemarketer, we shouldn't believe anything yo say, right? - SidTo respond to some other comments here, I don't even *have* credit cards and I get these calls, so there isn't a reason that you need to worry that they somehow know you have credit debt or anything like that. They're just robocalls.
Never answer the calls. Silence your ringer when you go to sleep. - marie bowewant to know who called this morning and let the phone riing at least 10x and woke up everyone in my home
- Megan MAlso a robocall from "Heather" at "Accounts Services" to lower my credit card interest rate. Little does our robocaller know that my private cell phone number (on the Do Not Call List) is not "linked" to any of my cards. Phonespam.
