Got a phishing text. They knew about a transaction I had just made online, and asked me to verify it. At first I thought it was my bank, so now I am concerned whether my information is safe.

I received a text from this number asking me to verify a purchase transaction that I made online.  Who is this person and why am I receiving this test.

They new the amount from a transaction I made last week and sent me a text that another transaction was made for the same amount. Checked my bank and Paypal and do not see any new activity so I believe this is a scam.

same as others. Very concerning they have personal info, and transaction details. Checked my bank login id's, and saw a suspicious login from a MacOs that I have never used. I am calling my bank to let them know about this login. Changed my username, and password also removed all trusted devices from the truist account security settings page. I recommend you add the text service provided by truist to your contacts on your cell phone, add contact for their number. this is so you will be able to easily identify that its your bank contacting you.
