very disturbing phone call and they had the names correct.  however it is definitely a scam and kept asking me for  my name and phone number.  the guy i spoke to said his name was david.

Ok got the same messages as everyone else.  "Officer John Smith" blah blah blah...went to the local police department had them call the number he left a voice mail to call him back.  About 5 minutes later I received another threatening call unfortunately for this stupid person on the other end I know how the Judicial system works and THERE IS NOT AN AGENCY ON EARTH THAT IS LEGIT that would call you if you had criminal charges against you.  YOU WOULD KNOW BECAUSE YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN ARRESTED AND OR SERVED! Even though you think it may not help to go to law enforcement, you need to file a report in the event they do have your SSN# and other information and cause identity theft or other problems for you, a police report will be essential.  Call the Better Business Bureau as well as other Agencies to protect consumers it's the only way we can combat these people.

I received the same call this morning and I have this same middle eastern thick accent people calling me since April. They have my ssn# and my friends ph# also. I have filed a report to my local police dept and they can not do anything unless those people use my ssn to open a credit card. The police dept told me to monitor my credit report closely. The minute something unauthorized is opened, I am to report to them and thats how they get busted. Otherwise, those people are not even in US. They are in whatever country they are in calling us using internet phone and call forwarding. I can not believe we are having so much issues with middle eastern cornholios.

Same threaten message said I have an illegal pending cas and for me or my lawyer to call them at 512-629-4333

SCAM!!!!!!!!   Do not pay.....he keeps calling here, this time he said my husband will be in jail within 5 days.  I asked him to turn down the TV he said this is no joke.  He also called my husbands work phone.

He told me Bastrol Texas, it's Bastrop TX.  Report him to their police department and yours.

I was disturbed when i received this message on my voicemail as well.  They called from my home phone.  Some kind of accent its hard to understand what he was saying but he said to contact an attorney for something and threatened to also put me in jail. Should i change my telephone number?  I have reported to the FTC so far. Should i also report this to other government agencies protecting consumers and my local police department?  Too bad i deleted the voicemail but kept the number as i was planning to call back and ask what it is about. I googled the telephone number 512-629-4333 and i came up with so many complaints for this number.  These scammers and extortionists needs to be stopped.  Its very disturbing and scary to be getting threatening phone calls like that.  Just want to share my experience.  Thanks for this venue.
