I am a UC alumni. I answer and they hang up. No idea why.

Probably someone who had your phone number previously.. or one of your enemies gave it to them

556 is a UC number; however, I believe this is not the Alumni Association but rather a scam.  When I've called the number back, no one answers and you cannot leave a message.  Also, when I finally answered the call, the caller wanted all kinds of personal info not pertinent to the Alumni Association.  DO NOT give personal info to the caller.

Pesky, repetitive, nuisance, caller who should simply be banned.

I was a student there more than 20 years ago. They've been regulary pestering me for money ever since I graduated. I feel like answering and telling them to #%&@ off!!!

It's legitimately the UC Telefund.  It was a persuasive and lively student who talked to me about my experience at UC and asked for money.  She followed up and sent a postcard (HANDWRITTEN!) because I agreed to donate $20.  I suppose that is the least I could do for the scholarship dollars they gave me.

I get calls almost everyday..I'm not a grad of uc however my daughter was at children's hospital.. I believe it's a  20 min survey.. I did answer and that's what he told me..I told them I didn't have time to do it that day and they have called almost everyday since..
