Call 8:09AM - so quite early (caller ID says Chubb Fire & Se); a woman claiming to represent Chubb Security says there are outstanding charges on my home monitoring, how would I like to settle these charges. I take the bait saying there should not be, have always paid in full. The woman assures me there are several missed payments relating to a system change-over, but my making a credit card payment will completely settle the outstanding matter. Later I call Chubb - they don't know what I am talking about - no outstanding or unpaid charges are on the account - seems to be a new scam where the criminals correlate the Chubb security signs at houses and link it to your phone number - call asking for payment. The number is a Montreal area code, though Caller ID says Chubb
