i keep getting phone calls from this number. It needs to stop

A couple of times a month I get a call from that number.  For call display, only the number appears.

Fortunately, the phone rings only once or twice and the caller hangs up.  Still, I start reaching for the phone when I am doing something else.

Debating if I should block my number, call back, leave a message (if possible) of "I know where you are.  Allalu Akbar!"

Recieved a call from this number from someone who had a strong middle east accent with noise in the background, it sounded as though he was i a public place. He stated that he was doing a survey for the Montreal police. His first question was to ask for my postal code. Before hanging up, I answered that I do not give info over the phone and believed that this is what the police would suggest to do.

Just answered that call. 514-523-4933. Lady speaking in English with an accent. Saying something about conducting a survey for the area I live in for the police. Asking to speak with the homeowner 50 years old or more. I'm like... huh? Euh, no one 50 years and older lives here. Then hung up. Weird call. People under 50 can own a house too. ;P

I never answer this number.  It had been a while since their last call.  I mistakenly answered today and there was actually someone at the other end.  Conversation went like this.

I say - Hello

They say OUI hello  nothing else

I say Hello

They said OUI Hello

And again one more time.

They seem to want YOU to actually say YES or OUI  I hung up.

I think I read this on this site before.  Some of you could have fun with these clowns (as long as you don't say YES or OUI).  

Personally I feel like getting a referee whistle now that I know an actual person is there and make his ear bleed.  But they have my number.  So I'll go back to A - Put the number in my phonebook and name it SCAM and B - Never answer it when I see it's coming from SCAM.

There should be a way to easily block them forever.

Just got a call about 15 min ago from them. They are a survey company and they wanted to ask me questions concerning the SPVM. Very nice lady and the input helps improve the quality of police service on the island. Took 10-15 min. Do it.

I clicked on a banner for The Rocky Mountain Train in my Google browser, I live in Alberta, After seeing the prices I thought better of and closed the web window, Unfortunately any information such as name, number age, address, is violated by google and shared with these companies, I got twelve calls, never answered, but looked up the number, I was shocked to find out that google has the right to invade your privacy, just by opening a web browser, or using partnered services like facebook, etc. Canadian law allows this, personal devices such as phones, pads and tablets are at great risk, they can even skulk around your laptop or PC, security programs are helpless when you click agree when you sign up for google.
