- Jenna replies to Sleeping| 1 replySame here... 12:00am!
- Lau - Toronto replies to JennaSo annoying, called at 11:51pm Sun March 3rd 2013. When I picked up, no one answered. They also called earlier...it rang twice then stopped.
- ErghCalled work phone saying my place of business' security alarm was disabled. Untrue since the alarms were still in place AND the sirens would be going off. Asked for my first name, then last, I didn't give either. Hung up on them and they haven't called back. The caller sounded like they were barely out of puberty!
- Caller: "your security" co
- JVTycho Security (alarm company) calling about trouble alarm.
- Caller: Tycho/ADT
- RyanNumber called our business and said that their an alarm company. Our receptionist answered the phone and they asked for the alarm company's name twice, and our person talking to them couldn't understand them. They said we had alamrs going off in zones that we don't even have. When our receptionist said to hang on (she then called me down to talk) they hung up. Called the number back and it goes to Tyco Security in Montreal. And of course, they have no record of calling us. My theory is a scammer is piggybacking on their number somehow. They asked for the name of the receptionist and a seven letter code.
- Caller: Tyco Security Co.
- DamoCalled me at 3.50am and left a voice mail saying my full name and my place of work and how an alarm was going off and i am on their contact list, very strange, they left a 1888 NO. to call back ,im assuming calling this number rips you off somehow!
- Caller: tyco
- RyanNot a fraud.... Alarm went off at a location I used to work at and I am on the emergency contact list. Left a message and told me the exact door that tripped the alarm.
- Caller: I forget.
- DJ replies to SleepingIt's Tyco Integrated Security... Are you on an alarm system's call list? Work perhaps? Not a scam...
- SSNot a scam.
If you get a call, you're probably on the call list for your company.
Tyco handles our security systems at my store. When my place of work got broken into, they contacted me because the contacts ahead of me on the list didn't pick up.
I missed their call initially because of the random Montreal number, thinking it was a scam also. Looked up the number, called back, and it was a different representative who picked up and had no recollection either - so yes, it's possible. When I gave them my store name, and my name, I was told we were broken into and all alarms were going off. They were able to tell me exactly which alarms were going off - sure enough when I went to the store, the police were there and we were broken into...
Not a scam!- Caller: Tyco Security
- PeteYep its TYCO, security and fire monitoring. Could be your intrusion alarm or your fire panel going into trouble or fire. Also known as Simplex Grinell and ADT which have both been absorbed into the massive entity of TYCO.

- SherryI have only worked one place ever where ive even ever had access to the alarm system or had the code to arm and disarm. I know for a fact that I am not on a contact list and that the business has a specific cell phone used for contact if an alarm is tripped so whoever has the phone is the contact. I just got a call at 1:51 am. Also where I work does not use this alarm company we use Alarm force.
There are 3 things happening at the same time here.
1. This is a real company that is making real calls about tripped alarms.
2. This is a real company with real people who dont all pay attention to the job like they should and dialed the number wrong about a tripped alarm. Sux for me in the middle of the night.
3. Now you have the scammers at the same time also using the real number for the company and asking for info likely. They can likely get a password now from someone at some point. Now they can trip an alarm and have names and passwords to have it turned off.
I did not answer the call I knew it was not for me. They did not leave a message.- Caller: Tyco Security
- robAlarm message citing wrong address, wrong city. SCAM
- BeroldThis is not a scam call. This is the alarm monitoring service for ADT (TYCO), based in Montreal.
We've had their service for 2 decades and I regularly (thank goodness not frequently) receive calls from the number in order to establish the reason for a variance in our agreed apon schedule/routine.- Caller: ADT

- AnnoyedCanada West Coast - caller 514-669-5500, showing "Quebec". Called on my private, unlisted, pre-paid cellphone#, which only have a couple of people for emergencies, none of them lives in Quebec,...and...I am not on any contact list for alarms or whatsoever. Same day I received an SMS sent about "ROGERS credit refund" with a link. Dipsticks. I am not on Rogers, and I am as well not on a plan. Do not pick up the phone when they call. Reported as SPAM and BLOCKED. Spammers in Mumbai must have a slow day.
