I've been consistently getting calls from this number with no message for over a month. Tonight I actually answered and this guy kept saying "Hello? Hello? Hello?" over and over again in an angry tone like a crazy person. It was the weirdest thing.

I called back and was told it was the Police Conference of New York (a cursory search prompted http://pcny.org/index.php/police/membership/).  The guy on the line ran through a spill and wanted to send a kit to pledge, but I had to tell him how much I would give in advance.  So, he called me, the caller Id said Unknown Caller, and he wants me to commit to send money without fully vetting this thing?  You have to be kidding me.  I was born at night, but it wasn't last night.  As a New Yorker, I ain't falling for any scam.

Angry tone?  Perhaps, the guy told me they were the Police conference of New York.  They have a website.  He wanted me to donate to the Conference without more information than what he was telling me.  I think someone should contact the New York Attorney General on this thing.

Keep gettin calls from 516-986-0747 stopped picking up they keep calling at least two times a day. My caller ID says Farmingdale ny

someone called from this number asking for donation for police conference. I thought it was so weird. And i kept on saying idk.. i was so scared. He said i should be receiving a package or something. I thought it was a machine since he kept on pausing . it sounded like a scam

Just received a call on my cell from this number (516)986-0747.  I did not answer and they did not leave a message.  I blocked the number on my cell so hopefully this will be the one and only time I get a call from this number.

Caller claims he is from the local police organization and looking to solicit funds for support. Everyone knows that the police department does not solicit funds over the phone or in person for any police department. This solicitor is a violator of fraud representation. I wish he would be arrested.

They pretend to be cops and ask for a donation for the PBA. It's a scam. Report them to your local cops...and make a real donation to the real PBA.

Unwanted call

i just call them from Skye 5 times - so I give them their own medicine.

Will do this whenever i have a few mins.

Don't you hate those calls when people call you and hang up?   right back at them!!!
