This number called me about my windows computer.  I use a MAC.
No argument, just hung up.

Called me to say that my Microsoft computer had problems with Internet Protocol and that he needed me to go onto my computer and fix the hardware.  I asked him which protocol and then told him I had no Internet.  This threw him for a loop.  Next time I will ask this guy with an India region accent how he came to call me.  I have worked on computers for 30+ years and could tell he lacked experience with computers and Internet.  He is obviously fishing.  I am retired and could use some more entertainment.

This no. came up on my iphone. I did not answer it, but googled the no, which brought me here. Thanks to all for the posting, I'm glad I didnt answer the call.

Got a call this morning.  An Indian guy said he worked for Microsoft and there was a problem with my windows 7.  I don't have a windows machine, but I decided to play along.  I told him I didn't know it was having an issue and thanked him for letting me know.   He said he could help but he needed some info from me first.  Name, birthday and SSN to verify my windows licensing.  I gave him false info.  Then he asked for my IP address and Mac address of the computer.  Once again he I gave him some false info.  After a few minutes he said he was having trouble reaching my computer.  I laughed at him and told him no [***] and to go f yourself I'm not that stupid.  He then hung up on me

Their back........ emboldened by our fearless "Peter" Obama, these scam artists called today and said nothing when I spoke to them in Arabic jibbish, they're still scratching their dirty turbins trying to figure out where they called and who may be coming for them. LOLROF

Just got a call from this number didn't answer it and then googled it, now I know it's a scam.

I seldom answer unknown numbers so when this number appeared on my ID I just Googled it which brought me here thank you for saving me the aggrevation.

IRS message that they are suing me and this is my final notice. Lol. Looks like this number generates all sorts of scam calls.

This number called me and said "The IRS is filing a lawsuit against you". I hung up because they know my address if it was the IRS. Thanks for this site and all the posters who confirmed this is a scam.

This number called me today. I didn't bother answering and, instead, placed the number on blocked callers.

Computer voice saying the IRS was filing a lawsuit against us and gave a Washington DC number to call I refuse to call it as I'm quite certain they are frauds.

I received two calls today, both from payphones. The first number was 303-385-0493 and the other was 518-399-9915. I let the answering machine pick it up. The second caller said he was from the IRS and they'd been trying to a hold of me. He left a phone number for me to call and said for me to call it before they filled a lawsuit against me. I just checked my messages and I must have answered the call because there wasn't any message on my machine. At any rate, the man did say what I've already stated

sounds like spammer - left an automated message telling me the IRS is going to sue me and left a (different) toll-free phone number to call.

Received a call today at 3:13 pm from New York #518-399-9915.  The message was:  "We have been trying to reach you. This automated message should be considered as a final notice from IRS - Internal Revenue Service. The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filling law suit against you. To get more information about this case file, please call immediately on 209-813-0138. I repeat 209-813-0138. Thank you."

Is this a scam? Have never had the IRS actually call me directly at home. They usually mail a letter.  Anyone else been called by this number recently?

Received a automated voice message 04/10/2015 from the 518-399-9915.  It said it was the IRS calling and I needed to call Daniel White at 310-929-7508 regarding tax fraud.  It said that The phone was available 9am to 7pm EST.  It told me I must call back as soon as possible.  They did not use my name.  I check the #s online & saw all the complaints.  I got on the FCC website and reported them.  The IRS does not call or leave messages like that!

Yes it is a scam.  I reported them on the FCC website.  Do not call them back.  The IRS would not leave a message like that.  You would be contacted by mail.  They would never request payment over the phone either.
